Ehh I dunno let's face it KC was very fortunate yesterday

Chiefs scored 17 points and Baltimore should have had at least another guaranteed 14 points

That won't fly against San Francisco
Shanahan won't stop running the ball if he gets down early. Might be the best offensive coach in football. Switch the QB's and who you takin?

but KC has the better QB and that could be the difference in a tight game.
The only thing that scares me about SF is that KC has the better kicker. I don't trust Moody in a close game but I trust Purdy. Everybody thinks he's a "game manager" but that kid just wins and his team would follow him into the gates of Hell. I think that's important when evaluating a QB they believe in him and I have utmost confidence in him to play well with the game being the biggest in his young career. I just hope Moody can make those clutch field goals that I think this game might come down to.

yeah Moody been a bit shaky at end of the year and he missed the game winner in CLEV earlier. However, while I like Purdy's game you have to admit JR I would think you would rather Have P. Mahomes on the SF Sideline?

Great thread.
Main points I'm gathering.

49ers:
  • Have more overall talent on their team.
  • Haven't been playing consistently great football in the playoffs.
Chiefs:
  • Mahomes and Ried could overcome the edge the 49ers have.
  • Have been playing exceptional football in the playoffs and have done so historically.

The info doesn't make the choice any easier either way.

No I'd ride and die with Purdy. He's our QB and I think he can get it done. Mahomes is God but he can be stopped as Baltimore showed in the second half of the game against KC.

OK JR. you are saying you wouldn't take a 3 time SB QB (2 time winner in SB) over a guy who has not proven anything yet. Gutsy call. I disagree but who knows maybe Purdy out plays Mahomes? GL.

Like I said I love Brock Purdy. The kids a winner and I believe he will show once again that the stage is not too big for him. Mahomes is a hell of a player but I'm happy with Purdy and wouldn't trade him for anyone in the league including Mahomes.
