Can’t remember the last time this type of crap happened after a major signing.
Just when is Giants fans thought we scored a pretty significant player, this happens.
I guess the moral of the story is, don’t f with Scott Boras. Farhan, you suck.

This Correa thing has become a bit of a circus. The Giants do seem like a mess at the moment but I am not sure that this one was such a bad thing honestly. Don't get me wrong Correa is a good player but does he move the needle enough for that kind of contract? I am not so sure... the Giants can def spend that money in a better way I think, now let's hope they still intend to spend it if not this off-season but next, etc.

Spending like the Mets are doing is good for baseball. BUT and there is always a but smart spending has a way of evening things out at least most of the time.

Sure wouldn't be as quick as some to crown them the next champions.

Because Jim Crane fires his World Series winning GM and uses Reggie Jackson, Jeff Bagwell, and other non-managerial types as his advisors when making player moves. :banghead:

I am also not a fan of this current non-GM situation. I didn't expect a huge off-season spending wise from the Astros honestly but I think they did okay if and it's def a big if Brantley can stay healthy and be moderately productive all season. SPing won't be as good as last season but still should be well above average - if Abreu can bounce back we could be much better at the plate than we were.

Although I would have liked a couple more upgrades at C and CF.

Yep. Catcher and Center field are weak points on this team.
