Long way to go to the MLB trade deadline. I think its like end of July. A lot of time for teams to make changes and steal a cy-young winner.

If Detroit give Skubal up, they will continue to just be a 2nd rate franchise. They need to step up and sign him to an extension.

Will he even be healthy end of the year?

With the lockout almost a certainty this off season this would be the year to give up prospects and go for the Championship. Next year could be shortened or have a cap, limiting salaries, giving the team a bargaining chip for new contract.
