Philly loves their athletes if they work hard and don’t act like pussies. Ben doesn’t work hard and is the biggest baby in the history of Philly sports. Philly is a great fan base for the right type of guy. You gotta have thick skin but if you play hard, they will love you. Some guys can’t handle it. Iverson was one of the biggest assholes when he played in Philly, but he’d do anything to win, give everything he has…..so he is loved forever in Philly.

King a little before my time. I caught him on the back end. I’ve know of Iverson doing some terrible things off the court while playing in Philly but he was so protected because he was loved. As a person, pretty rotten, but if you paid for a ticket, he gave you everything and that’s what Philly cares about most.
