I think you have to be selective on picking these games, just like any other game.

I've not gathered the data but I felt that power teams (LAD, HOU, ATL, NYY) don't typically get swept, especially when at home. The issue is that the lines are usually huge (-250 to -300) on these teams so making that play is tough (little/no value).
