That makes sense but how do you leave Georgia out?
I can't see both Bama and Georgia being in without a problem coming up.

If they both are in w/ Mich/Ohio St. and Wash/Oreg then Texas is screwed --> another problem.

Although they are favored to make the CFP, Fla St to me is one team that will be left out in the cold.
You leave Georgia out similar to how you’d leave Ohio State/Michigan loser out

If Alabama beats them no way Georgia is in without Alabama in. That’d honestly be way worse than leaving Texas out

Some great posts in here. The four-team playoff is a disaster this year. And frankly, the committee is useless. There's honestly no basis for their selection. Just who they decide to put in.

Slotting four teams is very tricky this year. Texas could be the fly in the ointment:
1) 12-1 in a big Conference would logically get them in.
2) The Oklahoma loss looks worse after the Sooners took some pops.
3) One would think a 12-1 Texas would trump a 12-1 Alab based on H2H road win. But Alab will be sitting with a much higher Strength of Schedule.

Good Luck excluding one of these big teams if all the top teams win out.

Texas is kind of the thorn right now. We all know they’re not very good but they have a key H2H win

though they could justify it not being a huge deal because of it being in Week 2.

Florida State and Washington also have been very iffy, though Washington deserves the nod because they at least have a significant win. That could all play itself out as I wouldn’t be shocked if both lose.

Georgia IMO is the best team and should be in no matter what but a loss to Alabama could change perception, and this would be the wrong year to have that loss.

Similar logic for Ohio State/Michigan tbh
