When you are paying well over a grand for your latest phone I'm sure you really really want to believe you are not being taken advantage of or scammed.

Yep.

They could be selling you a rock for $1k and tell you its new and improved with fantastic upgrades over prior versions and the people who buy that rock will say, "Its the greatest thing ever".

They don't want to look like a fool.
