"Deadline to enter picks is prior to Saturday, December 17 at 11:00 AM ET. All picks will be locked at start of first Bowl game, with the exception of the Championship game which can be repicked once the teams are known.."

I think the system will not going to allow you to submit your pick without the Championship pick. As mentioned above ---> "the Championship game which can be repicked once the teams are known"
