holy shit dude, i'm glad to hear you, your loved ones, and your friend are ok. so freaking heartbreaking to hear about her losing her home and nearly drowning. hopefully she has somewhere to go. stay safeThings went sideways in North Naples yesterday afternoon. Nothing like Fort Myers or Port Charlotte, but we finally decided to leave for Palm Beach (my father's house). No power, Water or cell for who knows how long which can be tough in SW Florida. Had a friend in Fort Myers Beach who lost her home and thought she was about an hour or so from drowning if she didn't get help from a neighbor.
me personally, i see it as my home so i'll stay to protect my home and things. but there does a point where there's nothing you can do anymore. also people don't always have another place to go to, or maybe can not afford to travel somewhere elseLet me ask something. I can’t figure out how people get caught in these storms and don’t leave their homes. Why stay if you’re in the eye? What are you proving by staying? You put other lives in danger of emergency services need to come save you. Enlighten me
I can understand that.me personally, i see it as my home so i'll stay to protect my home and things. but there does a point where there's nothing you can do anymore. also people don't always have another place to go to, or maybe can not afford to travel somewhere else
