lol i've been through so many hurricanes living in FL, so if anything i'm looking forward to it lowkey. no lights, candles everywhere, camping out at home. i just hope it's not a catastrophic event and everyone stays safe

It's crazy that August was completely free of hurricanes and now everybody's getting slammed from Puerto Rico all the way up to Canada.

In South Texas there's supposedly a "cold front" coming next week. Temps dropping down to mid-60s at night. The local weatherman says, that will take the energy out of the gulf and our hurricane season will likely be over (for Texas anyway).

Guess will see if he's right.

Damn, I was hoping both here in Louisiana and our Florida friends n others on Gulf Coast would have a peaceful hurricane season this year. And we're slowly getting toward the end... sigh

I hope it ends up elsewhere and if not I certainly hope for the best for everyone in its path. I hope you end up out of its path Le and others there!

The home health aid who helps me with caregiving for my Mom is Puerto Rican and she didn't hear from her family for a week. Fortunately they're safe. The storm knocked out all communication and I can barely imagine how much stress she was under not knowing if her family was even alive.

Unfortunately, insane is a good way to describe it.

we are getting a bit of that front down here in Cajun country as well it seems. would be nice if it is enough to end the hurricane season
