Alabama star Aden Holloway has been arrested on a felony drug charge four days before his team is set to play in the NCAA tournament.

Tuscaloosa County police spokesperson Stephanie Taylor said Holloway was arrested Monday morning and transported to the county jail after agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force searched a residence near Alabama's campus and "recovered more than a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia and cash."

NBA player Brandon Miller was never arrested or charged with a crime regarding the fatal shooting of Jamea Jonae Harris in January 2023, where he was identified only as a cooperating witness. Although Miller transported the gun used in the murder to a former teammate, testimony indicated he did not know it would be used.

so technically not charged, but at the time, his name was all over the headlines and no suspension

Alabama's Aden Holloway is no longer with the team, as the university announced that the star guard has been "removed from campus" in the wake of his drug arrest Monday morning.

Holloway, the No. 2 scorer for the Crimson Tide, will be off the team until he goes through the school's investigation process, which is conducted outside of the athletic department through the UA Office of Student Conduct.
