1-1 night Monday on a light card. Don't know what to make of Houston other than I think they're a pretender. Last season I liked them a lot but they blew it in the championship game. I think offense still remains a problem for them as does not being able to create offense from their tough defense forcing turnovers. If they don't force you into mistakes then they have to create offense and I'm not sure they can do that against good teams in March.

NFL25-26: 67-64-4 -3.97u
NHL25-26: 23-21 +1.20u
NBA25-26: 75-71-3.53u

Sad to see they lost in one of the most important games.

Two guys score for Houston:

1. Fleming is great so if a team can slow him down, Houston can be had.
2. Sharp is next for scoring. He only had 5 last night. His 3 pt shooting has fallen off from last year. That might be due to teams focusing more on him.

That's pretty much it. We all know Houston D has to stop teams from scoring to stay in the games.

Yeah I want to like Houston because I think they're well coached but they're not great offensively and usually a team that ends up winning it all is somewhere in the top 25 in offensive efficiency and Houston is ranked 50th.

TBH I'll be surprised if Sampson stays for many more years.
NIL money in Houston isn't up to par. He talked about it earlier this year in a presser.
He's been able to get great players because he creates(?) NBA lottery picks.

Ok 3-1 night including sweeping my college hoops plays. Lighter NBA slate tomorrow but as always a pretty big Wednesday college hoops card so I'll try to find some more winners.

Good 2-1 night but that St. Johns pick was a disaster. UCONN dominated pretty much from the tip off. Still though I hit an easy winner with Arkansas and Denver in the NBA so not all was lost and I'll take it. Hopefully I keep it going tomorrow with some more winners.

3-1-1 night tonight that could've been better if I waited on the Kawhi news that he was missing tonights game. Naturally the line moved 2.5 points with that piece of news and I walk away with a push which is better than losing but could've been a win if I waited to place my bet. Oh well I'm happy to have a profitable night and keep it rolling into Friday.

Great work JR....
Late injury announcements always are BS. Sometimes you're on the good side of them but it feels like, more often than not, you're on the bad side of them.

0-2 Friday as Illinois got blown out at home and in the NBA I was the victim of a bad beat on a 3 shot foul that pushed the total over. Probably the roughest beat I've suffered all year but the NBA probably had worse beats than that this season I just happened to get unlucky that the team trying to foul up 3 did so in the act of shooting while a guy was attempting a hail mary from half court. Hopefully I can find some winners on a pretty nice Saturday slate in college hoops.

Bad beats like that are usually followed by a nice bounce back day. It's like Karma trying to even things out. (y)

2-1 today as Florida destroyed Arkansas and in the process scored 111 to send the total over and in the NBA Miami won outright against Houston.
