Let’s look at our top picks from the quarterfinals.

NCAAF Prop Bets CFP Quarterfinal At-a-Glance

For this week’s best football player props, we are looking at the passing yardage volume for a quarterback in Miami vs. Ohio State. We also have a touchdown scorer pick from the Oregon backfield when they take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Miami’s Carson Beck (Under 192.5 Passing Yards -115) at Bovada

We know Miami quarterback Carson Beck can be a polarizing prospect, but he has been good for the Hurricanes this year, completing 74.5% of his passes and averaging 244.2 yards per game.

That yardage, however, is lower than his days at Georgia, where he averaged 281.5 and 268.1 yards per game in the previous two seasons.

But in Miami’s first-round playoff win against Texas A&M, Beck threw for just 103 yards in the 10-3 win. Part of that was the game script, as the Hurricanes had Beck attempt a season-low 20 passes as they were content with grinding out the win while the Aggies controlled the ball and had turnovers.

That strategy won’t work as well against a juggernaut like the Buckeyes, but Ohio State also has a far better defense than the Aggies.

Ohio State allows just 8.2 points per game and a spectacular 129.1 passing yards per game. Since Beck is not a big-game player and has turnover issues, we trust the Ohio State defense to limit big plays and hold him under 192.5 passing yards.

Oregon’s Noah Whittington Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+125) at Bovada

Oregon’s leading rusher is running back Noah Whittington, who has 798 yards, 6 rushing touchdowns, 1 receiving touchdown, and he averages an explosive 6.9 yards per carry to pace the Ducks’ strong rushing attack.

Whittington has not scored a touchdown in Oregon’s last two games, and he has not gone three games without a touchdown all year. But he is also coming off a season-low 4 carries for 24 yards against James Madison, which may have been a reflection of the Ducks not wanting to use their lead back too much as a 3-touchdown favorite in a game they still won with ease.

Expect Whittington to be featured much more against Texas Tech, which has a strong run defense that allows 0.5 touchdowns per game.

The Red Raiders also have not really faced a backfield with the speed and talent of Oregon, so the plus-odds on Whittington to score (Jordan Davison leads Oregon with 13 rushing touchdowns) after a burst of speed are what we’re relying on here to hit for your college football player prop picks.

What We’ve Covered and Next Steps

Our top NCAAF picks for CFP quarterfinals are for Ohio State’s top-ranked defense to hold Miami’s Carson Beck under 192.5 passing yards. We also like Oregon running back Noah Whittington to score a touchdown.
