Gambling, Culture, Living, Traveling, Food, all things Vietnam and South East Asia

I was going to joke "yeah, they don't have those pesky background checks in Vietnam either" but I thought better of it since I didn't want you to think maybe there was an inkling of truth to it.

Gambling 🎰 and our brains 🧠

I'm like you. I still remember the LA Sparks game in 2003 where I had the under for the 2nd half. The game was already decided and some dumb b!tch decided to drain a 3 as time ran out to go over. Then there's the time in 2007 when I had the over for a Chilean soccer game (Colo Colo) and it went...

    Jaxson Dart With His GF

I'm not one to judge someone I don't know so I'll just say she "seems" to be the phony gold digger type with the bleach blond hair and pushup bra. But I could be wrong. She could be the nicest girl in the world. With that being said:

Twenty charged in college hoops point shaving scheme

Whenever I hear of things like this, and not just basketball fixing but bribery of any sort, I always wonder how they spent the money. Was it all "hookers and blow" or did they raise suspicion by buying things everyone knew they couldn't afford? I'm thinking these weren't one-time bribes...

The funny thing is that Angeles City has only one street, Fields Street, that has all the prostitution and night life and it's only maybe a dozen blocks long. I remember when I went there in 2020 all sorts of people were on the streets. Even families were there. I even met some pretty good...

A genuine concern for JJ Gold's mental well-being.

I thought it might be low-t. Men his age get that. But when I think more about it, this low energy happened to come about all of a sudden so I'm wondering if it might be depression.

    Just Booked Another Cruise

I went on a Carnival cruise with my family to Freeport and Nassau. It was fun to see a different country but damn, Nassau rolled up their sidewalks after dark. There was nothing to do so I went back to my cabin and watched a movie. That time from Nassau to Port Canaveral took a couple days and...

    Jersey Mike’s Chicken Cheesesteak Review

Yeah, did you notice how big of a bite he took that first time? Then he took another bite later on that was so big he couldn't fit it all in his mouth.

I usually have the wheat but I'm going to try the rosemary parm bread because of what Bobby says about it and because you like it as well. I'll let you know what I think.

JJ Gold's Uncle Ed called me today - Unreal, I had to lie for JJ, *Must listen*

I just ordered a #13 from them last week. The guy behind the counter says about 2/3rds of their orders are for the #13. It's the Italian meats sandwich.

I know I've probably posted these before. I'm getting older and forgetful. But this thread is almost 1000 pages long now so I'm pretty sure some people reading this thread haven't seen these pictures. These are at the infinity pool on the top of the Marina Bay Sands hotel. The pool overlooks...

I actually had that. Not the monkey brains, the coffee. It was pretty good. Or as the Singaporeans call it, kopi, which is a Malaysian word. They have shops called Kopitiam which means "coffee shop".

Depends on where you go. I didn't go to the sleazy places. I was quoted $200 as a minimum but those were the nicer houses and this was back in 2006. Orchard Towers girls (now defunct) quoted starting at $100-$120.

No, they don't have those. Like Illini said, they have the Geylang District where they have individual houses. It's all legal and condoms must be used or they risk losing their license. There are also other areas in the city-state where you can procure prostitutes as well. Or you can take a 60...

Singapore has a lot of great hotels. Mandarin Oriental, Marina Bay Sands, Fullerton, Pan Pacific, Ritz-Carlton, InterContinental, Raffles, the Four Seasons. Pretty expensive though. I didn't stay at Raffles but I stayed just across the street from it at the Carlton. They have a nice coffee...
