Before the carnage of NFL week 9, 7-point underdogs had gone 1-25 on the moneyline this season. Then, Thursday Night Football brought yet another upset in the NFL with another 7-point underdog winning to add to the four from NFL Week 9.
The Miami Dolphins comfortably crushed the Baltimore Ravens who have drifted in the Super Bowl LVI, to +1400 with Intertops which feels a shade of overreaction compared to others.

Sunday’s early card saw parity finding restitution as the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills both put last week’s near shutouts well behind them while tightening up their already too short but solid credentials for Super Bowl LVI odds.
Anyone thinking the Tennessee Titans halcyon run must be due to end, they’ll have to wait another week as they ground out another win versus the much-tipped New Orleans Saints to keep that gangster march rolling.
Meanwhile, Sunday’s early card could be the start of a new era for the New England Patriots. If folk had forgotten what a great coach Bill Belichick is, his ‘under the radar’ New England Patriots are putting a run together and consigning the Tom Brady era in the rearview mirror as they swept past the Cleveland Browns.
The great man himself had a nightmare week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with three early interceptions as the Washington Football Team were another 7-point plus underdog to win.
The Kansas City Chiefs finally put up a score-line in keeping with recent seasons as they breezed past the LA Raiders 41-14 for readers taking the early -2.5, to move top of the AFC West after the LA Chargers slip up versus the Vikings.
Patrick Mahomes put up his best numbers of the season with five touchdown passes and over 400 yards, but it was Darrel Williams who was the star turn for the Chiefs with a combined 144 yards and a late grab touchdown. With Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce looking closer to their best, it was positive news for readers of my column who followed me in on Division and Super Bowl.
Let’s not get carried away though, as ‘one swallow does not a summer make’ given it’s plausible the Las Vegas Raiders are already past their best for the season despite Derek Carr’s best efforts. We knew three weeks ago before the New York Giants game when we started backing the Kansas City Chiefs that in theory, there were three easy weeks in front of them.

The acid test is still to come for the Kansas City Chiefs with this week’s match at Arrowhead against the Dallas Cowboys that will give us more idea whether we have the superb value on our betting slips that we are looking for.
After their poor effort the week previous, the Dallas Cowboys were back on it against the Atlanta Falcons and like the Chiefs, we will likely learn more about them this week although the match feels more important to the Chiefs.
For that reason, I expect a strong performance from the Chiefs this coming weekend against an opponent they’ve rarely played over the years. Three of the last four times they’ve crossed swords with the Cowboys at Arrowhead they’ve won and I’m going to support the Kansas City Chiefs to make it four from five on the moneyline at -125 with Bovada.

We were one week too early expecting regression from the Arizona Cardinals but the second week without Kyler Murray was too much for the Red Sea. Twinned with Cam Newton’s comeback for the Carolina Panthers that saw two early touchdowns sweeping them off their feet and a realization that Newton’s reunion with his team was more than just a gimmick.
Like I said, in previous weeks, I like the idea that Kyler Murray will star in the playoffs so watch this space as we maybe attempt to bring the Cardinals onboard our perm in the coming weeks when their price drifts a little more and we can evaluate Murray’s fitness.
That wasn’t the only upset in the NFC West as the LA Rams lost comfortably to the San Francisco 49ers and drifted slightly in the Super Bowl LVI market for the second week in succession.
I have my eye on the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals for the Super Bowl LVI, but I am going to keep my powder dry on those teams for now as I’m hopeful their Super Bowl LVI prices will drift in the coming weeks.
If you haven’t already taken my advice for the Kansas City Chiefs in Superbowl, then the price at +900 is still fine.
Nonetheless, for our official advice before NFL Week 11, we are going to add the Kansas City Chiefs to win the AFC Conference at +575 with YouWager.
