After a massive hockey card last night we are left with three games on today’s card, which has been a good thing as it has allowed us to do some more thorough research into tonight’s NHL picks.
A lot of weird results across the board happened last night, and we can’t imagine it would have been good for player props. Let’s hope some results go our way on today’s card, so let’s check out what NHL player props we are on tonight.

Columbus comes into this home game against the Montreal Canadians off the back of a 5-4 overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings, the Canadians have lost 7 of their previous 10 games, and being on the road we see them suffering defeat again tonight.

Jakub Voracek came good for us last time we picked him up for an assist and we are hoping he repeats that again tonight against the Canadians.
Voracek has 47 assists thus far this season, the highest amount on the Blue Jackets roster and the 28th most in the league.
Both the Blue Jackets and Canadians rank in the bottom three of total shots against and the last time they met there were just 3 goals scored despite over 70 shots taken. We see a similar outcome tonight except for the goals, Columbus to win this game 4-3.
NHL Prop Pick: Jakub Voracek Over 0.5 Assists (-115) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

The Rangers couldn’t come away with a win on home ice over the Carolina Hurricanes last night, even starting their number 1 goaltender Igor Shesterkin. The Rangers are on a back-to-back here, but we believe they are strong enough to see off the Philadelphia Flyers tonight.
The Flyers have been one of the worst teams in the NHL this season and are last in the Metropolitan Division and 2nd last in the entire conference.
We are more than happy to be getting plus money on Swedish-born Mika Zibanejad to see three or more shots tonight at NHL odds of +100. Zibanejad has picked up the second most amount of shots on this Rangers team and before last night’s 5 shots in the loss to Carolina, Zibanejad had gone 7 games with less than 3 shots. We are hoping last night was the start of a hot streak, plus the Flyers allow the 6th most amount of shots.

Zibanejad has seen 8 shots in his three games against the Flyers this season.

The Avalanche's top scorer thus far this season has now gone 3 games without a goal, which is his worst stretch in his previous 15 games. Rantanen is on one of the elite teams in the NHL and his Colorado Avalanche has been made the outright favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season at NHL odds of +375.

We are prepared to take a shot on Finnish-born Rantanen to get on the scoreboard against the LA Kings in tonight’s home game. Despite being poor on the road, Rantanen has scored in 5 of his previous 6 home games in the NHL.
He has scored 39 goals in 59 appearances this season and has also taken the second most amount of shots on this Avalanche team. He has also managed to get on the scoreboard in both of his previous two games against the Kings this season.
Colorado has scored three or more goals against the Kings in their previous 7 games. The Kings have been in strong form on the road lately, winning 15 of their previous 20.
The Avalanche should be in for a tough game tonight but we see them ultimately coming away with a 4-2 victory.
NHL Prop Pick: Mikko Rantanen Anytime Goalscorer (+140) at Everygame (visit our Everygame Review)
