Best NBA Player Prop Bets Today (March 10) (Archive)

Originally published on March 10, 2022

The NBA only has two games on TNT this Thursday evening, but several of the best players in the world will be in action. Here are a few NBA prop picks from Bovada (visit our Bovada Review), a top-rated sportsbook, that should bring you the best value for your buck.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Thursday, March 10, 2022 – 07:30 PM EST at Wells Fargo Center

James Harden

The Philadelphia 76ers look to even the season series with the Brooklyn Nets as a 4.5-point home favorite. A lot of attention will be on James Harden in his first game against Brooklyn after being traded last month. The Harden Revenge Game is certainly something you’ll want to make some NBA picks on.

Prop Analysis

Since joining Philadelphia, Harden is 5-0 when playing for his new team, and he averages 24.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 12.4 assists per game. When Harden played Houston for the first time as a member of Brooklyn last March, he had a triple-double with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists. He has one triple-double in five games with Philadelphia, but he’s been close to four of them already. There will be extra motivation to perform in this game, and it’s a good matchup as the Nets are a below-average defensive team.

Top sportsbooks such as Bovada have plenty of interesting ways to bet on Harden that should be likely to hit in this matchup. You could get Harden to hit three threes and a Philadelphia with at +181, or you could pick Harden to have at least 12 assists and a Philadelphia win at +165.

But I like going big and picking him to have a triple-double against his former team. With Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the other side, it should be a game that comes down to the fourth quarter, which means more stat accumulation for The Bearded One.

Seth Curry

Harden isn’t the only player looking for revenge in this game. Seth Curry was part of that blockbuster trade that sent him from Philadelphia to Brooklyn. He’s worth a look in this one too.

Prop Analysis

Since coming to Brooklyn, Curry is shooting 44.6% from three and making an average of 2.9 threes per game. His role has been diminished with the return of Kevin Durant from injury, and he’s needed less in road games when Kyrie Irving is active.

However, Irving is coming off a 50-point game in Charlotte where he was 9-for-12 from three after not making more than three threes in any game this season. He is not going to be as efficient in this game. Curry can pick his spots on a court he knows well and make at least three from deep in his own revenge game.

Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets

Thursday, March 10, 2022 - 10:00 PM EST at Ball Arena

Steph Curry

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are a 2-point favorite at the NBA odds in Denver against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. These teams played on Monday, a 131-124 win by Denver, but the Warriors did not have Curry, Klay Thompson, or Andrew Wiggins available as they all rested. It paid off for a comfortable win against the Clippers on Tuesday, but Curry only scored 15 points and was 1-for-6 from three in that game. Look for the bounce-back game.

Prop Analysis

Despite missing their three key offensive players on Monday, the Warriors played impressive offense in Denver, especially with their backup guards. The Warriors shot 51.1% from the field, 42.5% from three, and scored 124 points. Denver’s offense was just better.

This should bode well for Golden State’s confidence to score on Denver. Curry was cold from three in his last game. He usually does not have cold streaks or back-to-back games with such little production. The last time Curry scored fewer than 18 points in a game, he came back with a 35-point effort the next game.

Curry’s production has dropped in the second half of the season, but that does not mean big games are out of his reach. He just struggles to consistently put them together now. But I would trust him to have a big one on Thursday and fill up the stat sheet as he only had 5 assists against the Clippers too. Look for Curry to score at least 25 points with enough assists and rebounds to get over the magic number.

NBA Prop Pick: Steph Curry Over 35.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists (-122) at Bovada
