Just seven games around baseball on Monday but a handful of Cy Young contenders take the mound. Here are three MLB player prop picks we like from BetOnline, one of BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks.

Note that if you are planning to bet on this MLB game that unvaccinated players are not allowed to enter Canada and it is known that at least a few Red Sox aren’t. The lone player we for sure know about is starting pitcher Tanner Houck, but if a few key Boston guys aren’t in the lineup, that’s why. Canada’s COVID-19 policy could be a massive home-field advantage for the Blue Jays all season.
Star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the AL MVP betting favorite and is off to a fine start, batting .351 with five homers, 12 RBIs, and a 1.058 OPS. In a three-game series in Houston over the weekend, he had two hits in each one – obviously, that would win us this prop bet as would simply one double or homer.

His seven multi-hit games are now tied for second-most in the American League and the third-most in the majors. At home this season, Baby Vlad is batting .318 with two homers.
Boston starts Nathan Eovaldi on the mound and Guerrero Jr. is 4-for-13 career off him but without an extra-base hit. Just means he is due. Guerrero did just see Eovaldi last week in Boston as well so that should help his chances.

This is Colorado’s only visit of the season to Philadelphia. The Phillies were excellent at home last season but are just 4-5 there this year after a 1-0 loss to Milwaukee on Sunday night. The Rockies have been a disaster in recent years away from Coors Field but are 4-1 away this season. They are one of the big surprises so far.
We have a matchup of "Kyles" on the mound and it appears to be a mismatch. Colorado’s Kyle Freeland, a southpaw, is 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA and only 10 strikeouts in 14 innings. Philadelphia’s Kyle Gibson is 1-1 with a 3.57 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 17.2 innings. Gibson has a career-high 27.5 strikeout rate with that spike supported by a career-best 16.3 percent swinging-strike rate.

Few Rockies hitters have good splits off him. C.J. Cron has six strikeouts in 15 at-bats vs. Gibson. Randal Grichuk had five in 12 at-bats. Gibson did pitch in Denver last week and had only three strikeouts in six innings, but that’s by far his season-low. Freeland pitches to contact and had three vs. the Phillies last week. The Phils lead the league in wOBA facing lefties.
MLB Prop Pick: Gibson With More Strikeouts (-228) with BetOnline
Monday, April 25, 2022 – 06:10 PM EDT at American Family Field
This is the first game of the night and a very unusual one-game series – it’s a makeup game for a three-game series lost due to the late start to the season post-lockout. The other two games will be made up in September.
Weirdly, the Brewers had to fly back home from Pennsylvania after beating the Phillies on Sunday night, and then they will turn around and fly right back to Pennsylvania after this game to open the series in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Reigning NL Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes was very shaky in his season debut at Wrigley Field but has returned to form in the past two starts, going seven innings in each and striking out 18 batters. His 10 Ks last Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh was his 13th career double-digit strikeout game.

Burnes was so dominant in that game that for the ninth time in franchise history, no Brewers outfielder recorded a putout. It marked Burnes’ seventh career start of 10+ strikeouts without a walk, all since 2020, the most in the majors.
Batters are hitting just .169 off Burnes this season. The Giants are a bit short-handed in the lineup right now with outfielder Mike Yastrzemski testing positive for COVID-19 before Sunday's series finale against the Nationals and outfielder Steven Duggar, second baseman Tommy La Stella and third baseman Evan Longoria are all on the injured list. San Francisco is ninth in MLB with 144 batter strikeouts.
MLB Prop Pick: Burnes Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-141) with BetOnline
