Although Arizona has been finding their form in front of the net lately, they still have a team that’s lopsided. Their two goaltenders Scott Wedgewood and Karel Vejmelka have a save percentage of 91.48%, which is the 8th best in the league amongst goaltenders.

The Coyotes have witnessed a big upswing in offensive scoring since the addition of Nick Ritchie from the Toronto Maple Leafs. Although Ritchie scored just 9 points in 33 games for the Leafs, he has since scored 6 points from 7 games, and since the All-Star break, Arizona can boast their forward Nick Schmaltz has notched up 23 points in 13 games.
Arizona comes into this game minus seven players due to injury but despite this, they have won 4 of their previous 5 NHL games. Despite being the tied worst team in the league, a few more wins could see them jump up a few places before the end of the regular season.
The Senators have had the unfortunate circumstances of being the busiest team in the NHL post-All-Star break as they have played 18 games since then. Their record during those 18 games, which sits at 7-10-1 is respectable given the strength of their team overall and the pile-up of games.

The Senators have won just three of their last ten NHL games and goaltender Matt Murray hasn’t played since the 8-5 loss to Arizona almost two weeks ago. It’s likely we see Filip Gustavsson in the crease here tonight as Anton Forsberg has now played four games in 7 days and should be rested here.

Whoever set those NHL odds should be sacked because as we drew this game up, we had the Coyotes as +105 at the very maximum, we wouldn’t have been at all surprised to see them -120 here. So to get +135 is a gift, and if you like to lay a little juice, we very much like the +1.5 PK line at -140.
