UFC Middleweight Main Event Bout
Sunday, March 21st, 2021 – 3:05 AM GMT at Apex Centre
Kevin Holland
Age: 28
Kevin Holland is arguably the hottest prospect from the UFC's middleweight division. Following a first-round knockout over former title challenger & BJJ world champion Jacare Souza, the ceiling for 'The Trail-Blazer' seems limitless.
Holland poses a BJJ threat and a knockout threat, and a complete martial artist skillset is dangerous when owned by a self-proclaimed crazy man.
Derek Brunson
Now a veteran of the UFC, Derek Brunson is often criticised for his reckless abandonment, but in recent fight's we have witnessed a more calculated/patient version of Brunson. This patience has gifted him with a 3-fight win streak and the potential to put himself in title talks should he defeat a significant prospect in Holland.
Fight Prediction
Through Brunson's newfound calmness, he still fails to impress me on the feet, a lunging style, and consistently keeping his hands low is a worry, especially against Holland's long reach and knockout power.
Holland continues to prove why he deserves to be a top-ten ranked middleweight; he is dangerous of his back in bottom guard, on top in full guard and exchanging strikes on the feet, whereas Brunson's advantage will fall to his wrestling. Should Brunson want to wrestle, well, we saw how that went down for Jacare Souza.

UFC Heavyweight Bout
Sunday, March 21st, 2021 – 3:05 AM GMT at Apex Centre
Without completely discrediting Don Tale Mayes, we believe that his skill set is not fitting for the UFC heavyweight division. Mayes has yet to secure a victory of a UFC calibre of opponent. His DWCS win over Ricardo Prasel and his lone UFC win against Roque Martinez were two fighters with zero UFC experience.
Prior to his devastating knockout against Stefan Struve, Tuivasa was heading towards being cut from the UFC. A 3-fight losing streak had sent his stock plummeting, but we must note the level of competition was far beyond Don Tale Mayes capabilities.
I anticipate Tuivasa to hold the stand-up advantage, and should the fight hit the ground, and it will be down to Mayes utilising his wrestling offence. The problem for Mayes will be keeping the fight on the ground should he decide to grapple; once Tuivasa is in a striking battle with Mayes, he will hold the speed, technical, and power advantage.
The heavyweight division and a fifteen-minute time limit usually don't blend well, and I would not be surprised if Tuivasa got the job done within the distance.
