Skinner has been having a somewhat average season to date, picking up 43 points in his 62 games played, making him 101st on the overall points list. Despite Skinner not being even inside the top 100, he is the Sabre's 2nd highest points scorer and just five points behind Tage Thompson.
Skinner has also been in some form lately, picking up a point in each of his previous two games. This is an improvement on his previous six games, where the accumulated zero points.

We like our chances of Skinner getting a point for the 3rd game in a row tonight against a weakened Washington Capitals team on the road. Although the Sabres are 12th in the Eastern Conference, they have found a strong run of form that’s seen them win 7 of their previous 10 and 4 of their previous 5.
NHL Pick: Jeff Skinner Over 0.5 Points (+100) with BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)
The veteran defender John Carlson has been a stable bet for over 0.5 assists for a long time now and we made good money off him in the past. It’s time to take a trip down memory lane and get back on Carlson over 0.5 assists tonight.
We predict 7 goals in this game and Carlson has a total of 42 assists this season, the highest on the roster and is tied for the 7th most amongst defenders. Carlson has seen at least 1 point in 15 of his previous 20 NHL games.
We see the Buffalo Sabres winning on home soil by a scoreline of 4-3. The Capitals are heavy favorites here at -200 on the NHL odds moneyline, food for thought.
NHL Pick: John Carlson Over 0.5 Assists (-115) with BetOnline

27-year-old Jake Guentzel has accumulated a total of 64 points this season, in a fine display of both his playmaking skills and goalscoring skills which has seen him rack up 31 goals and 33 assists. Although it might be just the 25th most amount of points in the NHL, he has proved to be just 1 of 11 players to have seen over 30 goals and assists.
Although he sits down in 12th position for the most goals scored thus far this season, he has been the Penguin's top goalscorer, scoring 7 more than second-placed Sidney Crosby.
This is a big game between Eastern Conference rivals, this game is expected to be tight, it’s the perfect game for Guentzel to step up to the mark, and he usually does when there’s a lot riding on victory.
Despite having scored in just 2 of his previous 7, he has been getting the shots, totaling 3.5 shots per game. Space will be hard to find tonight, but Guentzel is an expert at finding space, hence why we like his chances to score at plus money tonight.
NHL Pick: Jake Guentzel Anytime Goalscorer (+125) with BetOnline
Chris Kreider is having a stellar season with the Rangers, the 30-year-old has scored 43 goals this season, the 3rd most in the NHL. Incredibly his previous best was 28 goals in one season, he recorded it twice in 2016 and 2019.
It’s fair to say Kreider is having the best year to date in his career which began back in 2012, with this very team the New York Rangers. The Rangers have a lot of problem players for the Penguins defenders to deal with and inevitably some will get through the cracks.
We think Kreider just to score 1 point at -130 is some small value. Although he only has 16 assists, tonight could be the very game he gets on the assisting board instead of being a goalscorer, let’s play it safe with Kreider over 0.5 points.
Although we wouldn’t put anybody off taking him to score at +100. We predict the NY Rangers will come out on top here at Madison Square Garden, a late Chris Kreider winner steals the win for the Rangers 4-3.
NHL Pick: Chris Kreider Over 0.5 Points (-130) with BetOnline
