UFC Light Heavyweight Main Card Bout
Saturday, June 4, 2022 – 04:10 PM at UFC Apex
Alonzo Menifield (11-3-0) has enjoyed a near-split tenure since joining the UFC in 2019 with a 4-3 record, and he'll be joyous to welcome a newcomer to the octagon on Saturday.
The experience level for Menifield is significant in this contest, but his opponent will notably arrive for his promotional debut with 3 consecutive first-round finishes on his record.
In step Ukrainian debutant Askar Mozharov (21-11-0), and to the all-seeing eye, 21 professional MMA successes have all been assisted with first-round stoppages that ultimately prove the newcomer has stopping ability.
However, the level of competition Mozharov has faced since turning pro in 2013 is lackluster, ultimately making those five-minute outings a red flag.
So, we know Mozharov has the finishing power in his hands, but what happens when he gets taken into deep waters? Time and time again, you can watch the Ukrainian get taken down, and on occasions, he's been pounded out or given up due to submission.
Menifield is the more technical fighter, he'll own the aforementioned experience advantage, and we know his punching power can end a fight in any round.
The available UFC odds with Bookmaker Review favor Menifield, but because this is MMA and anything can happen, I am siding with this fight ending sooner rather than later.
I expect Menifield to wrestle Mozharov and pound him out in the first round, but perhaps the new arrival can find the button and extend his first-round finishing streak. Either way, under 1 ½ rounds is the play.

UFC Welterweight Preliminary Card Bout
Saturday, June 4, 2022 - 01:35 PM at UFC Apex
33-year-old Andreas Michailidis (13-5-0) is being used as bait for up-and-coming welterweights, nothing more, nothing less.
The Greek-born fighter surprised us all when he managed to overcome the wrestling chops of KB Bhullar. Still, his bouts versus Alex Pereira and Modestas Bukauskas ended how most of us anticipated via a damaging knockout loss.
Rinat Fakhretdinov (20-2-0) makes his promotional debut this weekend, and the UFC is unquestionably giving the Russian a "winnable" fight.
On the downside to his extensive pro career, Rinat boasts an extremely padded record, and outside of his previous four wins, the level of competition has been the lowest of the low.
I do expect the rounded skillset of Rinat to give him the advantage over Michailidis; however, -255 on the moneyline isn't a position I'd want to be in. Rinat isn't proven yet, and although he's facing a low-tier 185 lber, actions always speak louder than words, and we just haven't witnessed the efforts of Rinat at a UFC level.
The available UFC odds with Bookmaker Review are expecting the UFC debutant to achieve success, but as previously mentioned, the moneyline price tag doesn't match his level of experience.
Both men throw serious leather every time they step into the cage, and no matter who walks out of the octagon with their hand raised, I expect it will be thanks to a knockout or technical stoppage.
