So, without too much preamble, let’s get started.

FC Dallas vs. Houston Dynamo FC

Saturday, April 23, 2022 – 03:00 PM EDT at Toyota Stadium

FC Dallas is fourth in the MLS table after seven fixtures with a 3-3-1 record and 12 points. Where they stand out the most is on the rear guard, which has allowed a paltry four goals against so far. On the offensive side of the ball, they’ve put up 10 goals, 9 of which have come at the Toyota Stadium.

Dallas comes into round eight with an undefeated record in the last five fixtures, including a scoreless draw to New York Red Bulls on the road in the last round. On home turf, Dallas is undefeated this season and riding a three-game winning streak that includes wins over Nashville SC, Portland Timbers, and Colorado Rapids.

All of this sets up Dallas advantageously on the odds board for this weekend’s clash with Houston Dynamo, although it might be a tougher contest than the MLS odds would suggest.

Dynamo is tied with Dallas on 12 points after going 3-3-1 in their first seven fixtures. Their success has come on home turf mainly, so it will be a challenge for the visitors to take points off a quality opponent such as Dallas.

Houston did beat a lowly Inter Miami 3-1 on the road on their last outing, but they lost to Sporting Kansas City 1-0 last month. If there’s one knockback against Dynamo it’s that their backline isn’t as solid, having allowed seven goals through seven fixtures.

Interestingly, these two sides met in a club-friendly match that Dallas won 2-1 in February. On the back of that win and recent form, Dallas is in a good position to come through with the win.

DC United vs. New England Revolution

Saturday, April 23, 2022 - 07:30 PM EDT at Audi Field

DC United is off to a poor start on the season and through six fixtures of their 2022 MLS campaign, they’re propping up the Eastern Conference with a 2-0-4 mark and 6 points. Recent form sees the side from the capital losing four on the trot, including a 3-2 loss to Austin FC.

Stopping the bleed is of primary importance to DC United as they welcome New England Revolution to Audi Field in the nation’s capital. Over and above poor form, DC United must overcome recent trends against their conference rivals.

Historically, DC United has struggled against New England. The Revolution is unbeaten in nine MLS fixtures (W6, D3, L0). The last time DC United got the measure of New England was in August 2018.

If there’s one aspect that might work in DC United’s favor, it’s the fact that New England’s season isn’t up to snuff either. They sit 11th in the standings with a 2-1-4 record and seven points.

The Revolution recently snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over expansion side Charlotte FC, but it marked only their second win on the season and first since beating Dallas 1-0 on March 5, 2022.

Although coming off a win will buoy New England’s confidence, equally the fact that their wins have only come on home turf will take away from it. Certainly, the best sportsbooks are stacked against New England. So, DC United might well fancy their chances here to either win or draw.

Inter Miami CF vs. Atlanta United FC

Sunday, April 24, 2022 - 01:00 PM EDT at DRV PNK Stadium

Inter Miami CF appears to have hit their stride recently as they’ve reeled off back-to-back wins to improve to a 2-1-4 record and seven points. Inter Miami are still hovering near the bottom of the table, a point ahead of last-placed DC United, but they’re merely a point behind Columbus Crew in ninth place and three points adrift of seventh-ranked Chicago Fire.

Inter Miami beat New England 3-2 at home and then the Seattle Sounders 0-1 on the road. A win over Atlanta United would be a massive confidence boost and it would see Inter Miami take a major stride forward. Of course, that might be easier said than done even with home advantage for this fixture.

BMR Community: Soccer Betting Forum

Atlanta’s season has been up and down, but they’re ranked fourth in the Eastern Conference table with a 3-2-2 mark and 11 points. Most recently, Atlanta held Cincinnati to a scoreless draw at home.

Atlanta has a 2-2-0 record over Miami in their last four meetings, outscoring them 5-3 during this unbeaten streak. They’ll be keen to maintain that undefeated record when they descend on Inter at DRV PNK Stadium on Sunday, but with the betting online market cast tighter than an accountant’s purse, this feels like a tossup for soccer picks.

Alternatively, it might be a great opportunity to back Miami to its first win over Atlanta since 2020.
