ESPN has the telecast of this Eastern Conference Game 6 with the Bucks looking to clinch a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals.
I honestly don’t have an NBA pick on the game yet because I’m waiting on the status of Boston center Robert Williams III. He’s a stellar defender and has missed the past two with a sore knee.
The Celtics should be up 3-2 but somehow managed to blow a 14-point fourth-quarter lead at home in Game 5 and lost 110-107. That tied for Boston's largest blown lead in the fourth quarter of a Playoff game over the last 25 postseasons. The Bucks’ Jrue Holiday had two of the most clutch defensive plays you will ever see.
I was 1-for-2 on props for that game: Boston’s Al Horford had been red hot from behind the three-point line so we leaned over 2.5 made in Game 5.
Big Al came crashing back to earth shooting 0-for-2 from deep for 8 points after making 9 three-pointers and totaling 52 points in the previous two games.
We did hit Wesley Matthews Over 6.5 points as he finished with 9 while getting a series high with nine shots.
Matthews will rarely come out of the game because he’s such a good defender and with Khris Middleton still out injured. So let’s go right back to that prop.
I honestly don’t love any Celtics plays yet, so our second will be on Milwaukee’s Pat Connaughton. Again because of Middleton’s absence, Connaughton is getting more run. He gets all those kick-out passes from Giannis Antetokounmpo and Holiday.
Connaughton had 13 points in Game 5, his fourth straight with at least 11. 5. Dating to the last round, Connaughton is averaging 12.7 points while shooting 57.1% from the field and 52.9% from three over his last six games.
NBA Prop Pick: Matthews Over 6.5 Points (-124) at BetOnline
NBA Prop Pick: Connaughton Over 10.5 Points (-113) at BetOnline

ESPN also has this Western Conference Game 6 with Golden State up 3-2 – and I do believe the Warriors end it, although the 8.5-point spread is too high.
Still in shock at how bad the veteran Dubs looked in Wednesday’s 134-95 embarrassment in Memphis, which still doesn’t have Ja Morant and won’t on Friday.
Memphis led by as many as 55 points, and its 52-point lead after three tied for the largest in a Playoff game in the past 70 years. It was the fifth-worst Playoff loss in franchise history for the Warriors.
They turned the ball over 22 times, leading to 29 Memphis points, both 2022 Playoff highs for Golden State.
Don’t mean to be repetitive here, but if a prop keeps winning, I’m going to keep playing it. In the past two games, we’ve gone under the point total of Dubs guard Klay Thompson and they both hit.
He “led” the Warriors with 19 in Game 5 after scoring 14 in Game 4. Yet for some reason the best sportsbooks are listing Thompson at 21.5 here? I just don’t get it. Thompson is averaging 16.2 ppg in the series.
Here’s a statistic that Thompson would like to forget: His plus/minus in Game 5 was minus-45, tied for the worst rating in any Playoff game over the last 25 postseasons.
One big change the Grizzlies have made the past two games is giving previously forgotten center Steven Adams actual rotation minutes after falling out of it early in the first round.
Adams had 10 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 assists in Game 4 and then 7 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists in Game 5. The only chance Memphis has is to bludgeon the Warriors with size.
The Grizzlies outrebounded the Golden State for the first time in the series 55-37 in Game 5 and also outscored the Dubs 50-36 in the paint.
NBA Prop Pick: Thompson Under 21.5 Points (-115) at BetOnline
NBA Prop Pick: Adams Over 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-122) at BetOnline
