Bellator returns to action this Saturday night as Bellator 276 comes to St. Louis, Missouri’s Family Arena.
Headlining the card is Adam Borics and Mads Burnell in a five-round clash in the featherweight division and Phil Davis’ return to the Bellator Cage acts as the co-main event as he battles Lithuanian Julius Anglickas.
Let’s break down the Bellator odds for the Borics-Burnell showdown.
Featherweight Main Event Bout
Saturday, March 12, 2022 – 08:10 PM EST at Family Arena
The Showtime card that will be broadcasted (at least in the United States) features a litany of names that Bellator fans have come to know over the lifetime of the Paramount-owned MMA brand.
But, similar to last week’s UFC 272, there is a lack of a title fight or “hefty” main event for the casual fan, so finding the “best bet” for this card is where I come in and help all of you looking to make an extra few bucks or buy the Denver Broncos with one big payday.

Seriously… if you end up owning the Broncos or any major four sports team… give me a call, I have ideas.
When looking at the main event of the card, you look at a fighter like Burnell coming in on a seven-fight winning streak that spans both Bellator and Europe’s top MMA brand, Cage Warriors, with all but two coming inside the distance.
That could be why Bovada (visit our Bovada Review) has him set at -210, making him the favorite against Borics, who rebounded off after his first career loss (an RNC loss to Darrion Caldwell), to pull off three decision wins (two UD, one SD).
While Borics may have stopped the skid, losing a step-up fight to a former champion who since defeating Borics in January 2020, has dropped his last three, two by submission, it does not give me a lot of comfort when looking to place a wager on him.

Conversely, Burnell, the master of the Japenese Neck Tie, is in the biggest fight of his career to date (excluding three UFC appearances going 1-2 ) with it being an internationally broadcasted five-round main event. Could the pressure get to him?
It may be less about the pressure he’s feeling and his ability to corner Borics and pull a submission on him. With Borics having shown being susceptible to a choke early in his fight against Caldwell, it may be all the ammunition Burnell needs to pull off the win.
Borics is no slouch in the submission game himself, generating six of his 17 pro wins by submission (tied with decisions for his most common path to victory), and he won his first three Bellator fights with submissions, he’s yet to lock in a submission win since his third Bellator fight in September 2018.
So if you wanna get closer to owning the Broncos this weekend, Burnell will be your best bet in the main event, and you may wanna backdoor your Bellator picks with the Under 4 ½ at +100 if you think Borics will be tapping, as I do on this keyboard, before we get to the scorecards.
