I agree though the fact there could have potentially been a pass interference giving Bama first down at the 15 with about 25 seconds left makes the cash out an even better decision if you’re able to think that far ahead

Exactly right ..If there were 5 seconds left instead of 43 the DB would've been smart time to basically tackle the WR before he caught it since the college rule is dumb.. (either 15 yd penalty or half the distance to the goal). With that much time left he obv couldn't take that chance so credit to the Bama QB for making a perfect throw.
