Ozzy 2024 isn’t comparable to Ozzy 1980.

Get in a way why he is wanting to drag his old ass back on stage - but at the same time WHY?

He has plenty of $$ - he has nothing left to prove to anyone and really - anyone paying good damn money to hear him these days should know he’s a shadow of the old Ozzy. But you know he NEEDS the feeling of being on stage/performing and the fans after all these years.

I guess if your Ozzy (or KISS or any other number of aging rock stars) - it’s not quite like you can just go down to the local pub or book a string of dates at Holiday Inn lounges and perform like old timers did a few decades ago. You need to out a show with huge stacks of amps and pyrotechnics and shit behind you - and that cost $$…so your stuck playing the Omaha civic arena or some shit charging $150 a seat to locals who don’t typically get the chance to see “headliners”.

I mean good on Ozzy for having the desire to go back out there - and if it’s just a few English festivals - it will go ok for him hopefully - fans will get a chance to see him for 35 minutes and give him the appreciation he needs and he can head back home and know he’s not forgotten. But if he heads out and tries to do some full tour like KISS has done several times before finally hanging it up last year - it’s doomed to fail and will kill whatever remains of his legacy.
