*couldn't resist had to check..couldn't ask for a better 1R (62, -8) but I've seen this too many times where it means nothing on Sunday. This guy is legit & I did win about 5k on him last yr when he won in a playoff in August..so like I said no CO..full ride.

*Lawrence is the only one in the field in the OWGR top 100 (#90) so this would be absolutely tragic if he doesn't beat a relatively depleted field..specifically from my POV

Really need this so I'm done checking until it's over. Ideally this wins as well as the Jets tmrw so I could put another 2k on them on Monday. They'd obv drop from 130-1 to prob 80-1 but that's fine. Fins win tmrw then it all comes down to this bet with a bunch of % dead Jets Futures.

Thread over Sammy..I just might live to regret this but I just cashed out. Here's the rationale:
* This $1865 was ALL IN for a 12k+ payout. Just cashed at slightly under 5k but he's currently +105 to win the tourney. Just couldn't take the chance even with a random nobody 1 stroke ahead considering how unpredictable golf is. Cowardly cashout or should I have rode it out for that potential extra 7k?
*I figure it's easier to turn 5k into 12k than have to reload & start from scratch.

like you say...your ability to now turn 5K into 12K in 2 days in greater than just waiting on that bet

Good point! No need to have bettor's remorse even if he wins (you just know he will) but just take the profit & move on.
*at least at +105 the CO was probably 25% to 35% better than it would've been had I waited till after R2 now that he's at +150.

Thanks Jay..but yeah there's a reason the leader is 4th at +900. Hopefully he wins but he's some random nobody who they're expecting to collapse on the wknd. If Lawrence could've come close to matching that 62 (66 isn't bad but 2 other guys shot 62 so the course is playing soft), I wouldn’t have cashed. Still expecting him to win to rub it in my face but just couldn't take that chance with a 0 balance.

2 schools of thought on this..had I waited till after R3 to CO it would've been around 8k instead of the $4934 I settled for since he was -150 instead of +105 when I cashed. But at that point I probably would've let it ride with a 3 shot lead & lo & behold what do we have here. Brutal front 9 dropping 3 strokes & he's currently +900 to win. Balance is currently 5k so unless he comes back to win..can't exactly regret out when I did.
