UFC Vegas 70 Information
- Date & Time: Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023 – 04:00 PM EST
- Location: UFC APEX
- Scheduled Fights: 13
- Main Event: Krylov vs. Spann (UFC Light Heavyweight Bout)
Trevor Peek Moneyline (-210) Reasoning
The odds are wider than we expected, but the power of Peek is undeniable.
He’ll strike aggressively at range or inside the pocket until the referee steps in or his opponent is deemed unresponsive. If an aging Jim Miller – who isn’t known for his stopping power – can finish Erick Gonzalez, expecting Peek to emulate this result isn’t a stretch.
Charles Johnson Moneyline (-160) Reasoning
The offensive striking of Johnson is levels above Osbourne, and his cardio doesn’t seem to fade.
Furthermore, Osbourne has relied on his punching power to achieve success in the past, but Johnson’s durability is noteworthy as he’s never been stopped inside the distance.

Betting Preview
Gonzalez Analysis
Erick Gonzalez (14-7-0) hasn’t owned the prettiest beginning to his UFC tenure – losing his debut to Jim Miller to follow up with a second promotional loss to Terrance McKinney.
We can argue that Gonzalez was thrown to the wolves versus Miller and McKinney. Still, it’s difficult to overlook his lackluster efforts in the octagon, and another loss inside the distance could be on the cards this weekend.
Peek Analysis
Twenty-eight-year-old Trevor Peek (7-0-0) will make his UFC debut in Vegas this Saturday after earning his contract with an impressive round two ground and pound stoppage on Dana White’s Contender Series last September.
Swinging for the fences has pretty much been the story of Peek’s professional MMA career thus far. Although he lack’s the technical fundamentals we like to see in an offensive striker, he’s made up for it with the power of his punches – winning all seven of his career fights via KO/TKO.
UFC Vegas 70 Parlay Prediction
Gonzalez arrived at the UFC by default as a short-notice replacement opponent for Jim Miller. Losing via strikes to then get submitted in his second appearance doesn’t bode well, and five losses on the MMA regional scene further add to the tempting position of fading him at the sportsbook.
Peek hasn’t been overly impressed with his overall ability during his pro career by any means. However, for the red flags he’s displayed in general ability, he’s made up for it with brute power.
The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review placed a (-210) price tag on the debutant, and the line is undoubtedly too wide.
That said, Peek is relentless in his striking offense and has the durability to take shots from Gonzalez before eventually landing his signature TKO/KO strikes.
UFC Pick: Trevor Peek ML (-210)
Ode' Osbourne vs. Charles Johnson
UFC Vegas 70 Catchweight Bout (Originally Flyweight Bout)
Betting Preview
Osbourne Analysis
Since earning a position within the UFC flyweight division after a round one armbar on Dana White's Contender Series in 2019, Ode' Osbourne (11-5-0) has been a difficult read with a 3-3 UFC record and three stoppage losses.
He’s one of the more powerful flyweight competitors, but unfortunately, his durability has been a huge concern in both striking and grappling situations.
Johnson Analysis
Charles Johnson (13-3-0) stems from a background in boxing, which becomes instantly evident when he steps into the octagon.
He can sometimes be overconfident when dropping his hands and leaving openings for his opponents.
Still, his head movement and ability to roll with the punches allows him to stunt this cocky attitude, and we can’t deny these striking fundamentals that have assisted him with a two-fight win streak in the UFC.
UFC Vegas 70 Parlay Prediction
Osbourne has speed, power, and athleticism. Unfortunately, he doesn’t own the cardio and technical ability to assist those aforementioned attributes throughout a 15-minute fight.
Johnson is technically sound, he can strike from both stances, and I can envision him popping the jab from the outside on Osbourne for the entirety of the bout.
The available UFC Vegas 70 odds with Bookmakers Review have Johnson as a slight betting favorite, and the power of Osbourne is undoubtedly a concern. Still, we must agree with the bookmaker's stance.
Johnson has the cardio, technical striking, and a level of durability that’s never seen him be finished in the cage during his professional career.
