Zac Pauga vs. Mohammed Usman
UFC: The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweight Finale
Saturday, August 06, 2022 – 11:20 PM EDT at UFC Apex
UFC Parlay Pick
- Zac Pauga to Win
Pauga vs. Usman Betting Pick Analysis
34-year-old Zac Pauga (5-0-0) entered the Ultimate Fighter Season 30: Team Nunes vs. Team Pena competition with a 5-0 unbeaten record and a bout of experience under the notable Cage Warriors promotion.
Despite TUF bouts not gifting competitors with an official record change, two consecutive and dominant victories on the show have kept Pauga’s undefeated record alive. Now he’s just one fight away from becoming the ultimate fighter champion.
However, Pauga must first tackle the monstrous frame of Mohammed Usman (7-2-0). And yes, Mohammed is the brother of the current pound-for-pound greatest, Kamaru Usman, but they notably don’t train together, nor do they deliver a similar style inside the cage.
UFC Vegas 59 Ultimate Fighter
I genuinely believe Pauga would be a -500 favorite if he wasn’t facing the brother of Kamaru Usman, as the surname undoubtedly affects the betting line. Pauga is, without a doubt, the more technical and skilled mixed martial artist. I believe speed, defensive movements, finishing ability, and cardio will take sides with the betting favorite.
The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review favor Pauga, but when I saw a -245 moneyline, I was pretty surprised to witness the available value.
The technical striking offense of Pauga is lightyears ahead of Usman, and outside of a puncher's chance, I don’t expect the underdog to find much success.
Ariane Lipski vs. Priscila Cachoeira
UFC Women’s Flyweight Main Card Bout
Saturday, August 06, 2022 - 10:05 PM EDT at UFC Apex
UFC Parlay Pick
- Ariane Lipski to Win
Lipski vs. Cachoeira Betting Pick Analysis
Solid muay thai, finishing ability and a nickname (Queen of Violence) she’s undoubtedly lived up to, Ariane Lipski (14-7-0) returns to the UFC octagon with an extremely winnable opponent scheduled to face her.
Priscila Cachoeira (11-4-0) failed to impress despite defeating Ji Yeon Kim in her previous bout – a fight she should have dominated from pillar to post.
The key issue is Cachoeira’s fight style, a forward pressure that can undoubtedly work against the low-level striking of Yeon Kim, but stylistically a nightmare when matched with the likes of Lipski.
UFC Vegas 59 Parlay Prediction
Cachoeira isn’t likely to threaten Lipski with a grappling exchange, which is a key reason why I’m so confident in the younger Brazilian’s chance of success.
Young in its sample size and overall fighter experience, women’s MMA is always risky at the lower ends of the divisional rankings. Still, I believe this fight is tailor-made for Lipski as her opponent is a reckless striker who often leaves her chin open for the taking.
The bookmakers favor Lipski, but a -175 moneyline is presenting some great betting value, in my opinion.
The UFC in Vegas 59 Punching Parlay
- Zac Pauga ML (-245)
- Ariane Lipski ML (-175)
