UFC Welterweight Main Card Bout
Saturday, June 18, 2022 – 06:25 PM EDT from the Moody Center
Jeremiah Wells (10-2-0) is enjoying a fruitful MMA tenure behind a 4-fight win streak that all finished by way of knockout or submission.
He doesn't own an official fight nickname. Still, let us label him "Killer Instinct" as he's already finished a notable UFC veteran in Warlley Alves via ground and pound, to then go on and finish a striking prospect from the Israel Adesanya camp in Blood Diamond by rear-naked choke.
UFC veteran Court McGee (21-10-0) bounced back from a 3-fight losing streak in 2019/20 and has now won two consecutive bouts on the judge's scorecards. McGee, 37, is unquestionably reaching the latter stage of his career, but he's showing minimal signs of slowing down.
McGee is a versatile mixed martial artist, but his age will certainly be a factor heading into this contest. He'll be faced with a fearless up-and-comer whilst suffering a speed and power advantage.
Wells owns an unruly amount of power in his hands, and I'm not sure that Court McGee has what it takes to stop the prospect in his tracks.
The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review favor Wells, but a plus money price tag on the under 2.5 rounds is the more tempting approach, in my opinion.
I struggle to envision McGee avoiding the fight-ending power of Wells for more than twelve minutes.

UFC Middleweight Preliminary Card Bout
Saturday, June 18, 2022 – 04:35 PM EDT from the Moody Center
The 6 foot 3 "D'Arch Knight" returns to the octagon following an impressive round one D'Arce choke over Jamie Pickett in February of this year. Kyle Daukaus (11-2-0) has achieved a 2-2 record in the UFC thus far, and he's receiving a winnable matchup this weekend that could gift him the first consecutive win streak of his UFC tenure.
Georgia's Roman Dolidze (9-1-0) has owned a brighter beginning to his UFC career (3-1) than his opponent this weekend, but the level of competition has notably been lower.
Dolidze is primarily a grappler whose only loss in the UFC is to Trevin Giles; he struggles to win outside of a heavy grappling plan or an opportune moment to land a haymaker.
I do expect the rounded skillset of Daukaus to lead him to victory, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dolidze held him against the fence for fifteen minutes and sailed to a decision victory.
On the feet, Daukaus will technically outclass Dolidze, but the Georgian will undoubtedly own the power advantage.
The available UFC odds with BMR's top-rated books and betting sites expect Daukaus to take an easy win at a -225-price tag, but I believe the safer play is on the over.
I can't envision either man finding the finish, neither fighter has ever been stopped during their professional careers, and this bout owns the potential to deliver a lot of grappling to drain the clock.
