Christian Leroy Duncan vs. Dusko Todorovic
UFC 286 Middleweight Bout
Betting Preview
Christian Leroy Duncan
Former Cage Warriors middleweight champion Christian Leroy Duncan (7-0-0) is a problem for the 185lb UFC middleweights.
Behind a 6 ft 2inch frame is a diverse martial artist that owns an impressive striking offense alongside a thirst for violence that’s seen him finish six of his five professional bouts.
While the 7-0 record will seem green to some, Duncan’s amateur career started in 2015 and finished three years later when he’d collected a 17-5 record. The level of competition he’s faced has been challenging.
He undoubtedly took the tough road to become a UFC competitor but makes his promotional debut with an unblemished pro record and a noteworthy level of experience.
Dusko Todorovic
Dusko Todorovic (12-3-0) owns the UFC experience heading into Saturday’s London card, but he’s undoubtedly fighting against more than a hot prospect.
The English crowd is entirely aware of Duncan’s talent and hopes the Gloucester-born fighter can emulate the success of cage warrior alums like Conor McGregor, Michael Bisping, and Paddy Pimblett.
Todorovic is returning from a beating he put on Jordan Wright in October of 2022, with two losses via TKO from his six UFC bouts; facing a KO artist in Duncan will test his questionable chin.
UFC 286: The Prop Bet Breakdown
The UFC understands they have a talented fighter on their hands in Leroy Duncan; this is why they’re debuting him versus a household name in Dusko Todorovic.
Furthermore, why have the oddsmakers placed him as a significant betting favorite? Perhaps because they also realize that talents of Duncan could result in a special middleweight talent.
Todorovic is no slouch, and a grappling gameplan will undoubtedly be his path to victory. However, unpredictable striking attacks such as spinning elbows and flying knees, behind the switching of stances, and brute power could provide a fight-of-the-night performance for the debutant.
UFC Pick: Christian Leroy Duncan Inside the Distance (-135) at BetOnline
The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review favor the newcomer Duncan, and I agree. Not only do I believe Duncan wins, I think he’ll achieve victory in dramatic fashion.
Todorovic hates pressure, and we’ve watched him wilt in these situations. Duncan does an excellent job pressuring opponents, and with a unique athletic ability that can deliver fight-ending moments during any round, I must support my fellow Englishman this week.

Sam Patterson vs. Yanal Ashmoz
UFC 286 Lightweight Bout
Betting Preview
Sam Patterson
Sam Patterson (10-1-1) is another bright prospect representing the UK; more glaringly, he’s a freak of nature.
Standing 6 ft 3 inches tall doesn’t seem monstrous until you realize he’s down to 155 lbs and will enter Saturday’s bout behind a 10-inch reach advantage.
Aside from the obvious physical advantages Patterson will own, he’s an ultra-talented mixed martial artist with clean striking and tricky submission offense.
Yanal Ashmoz
It feels like the UFC is attempting to build the UK UFC fan base even further by feeding Yanal Ashmoz (7-0-0) to the wolves in his promotional debut.
He’s fought a lower level competition than Patterson – despite competing in the Professional Fighters League – and at 5 ft 9 inches tall, he’ll suffer from one of the biggest size discrepancies in UFC history this weekend.
UFC 286: The Prop Bet Analysis `
Size isn’t everything; that’s what she said. But in all seriousness, Patterson could easily sail to a unanimous decision behind his jab, but as you’ll notice from his fight tape, reaching the judges’ scorecards isn’t his MO.
The Brit will thrive off the roaring English crowd. As I sit in the audience sipping my beer, I expect to see the well-rounded UFC debutant prevent Ashmoz from reaching the inside and delivering a significant grappling offense.
Patterson’s movement, size, jiu-jitsu, cardio, and finishing ability will stop Ashmoz from reaching the 15th minute, and another British prospect will be born.
UFC Pick: Patterson Inside the Distance (-110) at BetOnline
The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review have placed Patterson as a significant betting favorite, and based on fight history alone; the Englishman looks primed to impress on home soil.
Not only will the favorite present a huge physical advantage, his overall skillset feels sharper and more well-rounded than his opponent.
