The second-round continues in Roland Garros at the French Open. The whirlwind of action has been hard to keep up with, but excitement, intensity, and great tennis have been the order of the day.

The schedule is still jam-packed with top-quality matches as 64 entrants remain on each side.

Let’s take a look at two high-profile matches to find more winning tennis picks.

Corentin Moutet vs. Rafael Nadal

Wednesday, May 25, 2022 – 05:00 AM EDT at Court Philippe Chatrier

Rafael Nadal Analysis

Rafael Nadal is widely considered the best clay-court player of all time. Nadal has made the courts of Roland Garros his personal playground.

Nadal has captured the most French Open titles in the tournament's long history. His fighting spirit, heavy topspin, and indefatigable fitness have been no match for his opponents.

Now, as well as facing some of the greatest players in the world, Rafael Nadal faces the toughest opponent of all time... Father Time.

Nadal is starting to age, and his legendary fitness is not what it once was, and the accumulation of injuries created by his hard fighting style has led to a drop off in the level of play of the clay-court giant.

However, he is still a formidable opponent and is the third favorite by ATP odds to end up as the French Open Champion here in 2022.

Of course, to achieve such lofty accolades, he will have to win matches in which he is heavily favored, such as today against Corentin Moutet.

Corentin Moutet Analysis

Corentin Moutet is the 23-year-old French player ranked 139th in the world. Moutet will enjoy the advantage of having a supportive home crowd against his opponent today.

Still, there are plenty of French fans who are simply fans of Rafael Nadal's greatness, so the crowd support should be split.

However, the support is the lone advantage for Moutet against an opponent who is so much better than him in all aspects of the game.

Corentin Moutet did not play the traditional warm-up tournaments on the Road to Roland Garros, instead opting for Challengers.

Moutet went 1-2 in those Challengers and did not display impressive form. Moutet was able to get a victory over a big-name player when he defeated Stan Wawrinka in round one here at the French Open.

Nadal vs. Moutet: Betting Pick and Prediction

However, Stan Wawrinka currently is not as good as his name suggests. At age 37 and ranked 264th in the world, Wawrinka is not the formidable opponent that he once was.

Unfortunately for Corentin Moutet, the gulf in class will be too much for him to overcome against Rafael Nadal.

Even with all the home court support, it will be not enough against the king of the clay courts.

Nadal is better in all aspects of the game, and even though he is Spanish, he feels at home here at Roland Garros.

Our first best bet for the second round of the French Open is under 26.5 games.

Maria Camila Osorio Serrano vs. Diane Parry

Wednesday, May 25, 2022 - 10:15 AM EDT at Court Simonne-Mathieu

Camila Osorio Analysis

Camila Osorio is the twenty-year-old Colombian player ranked 66th in the world.

Osorio plays well on clay and has an excellent level of defensive capability that makes her a tough opponent for anybody.

Osorio has risen in the rankings with the addition of some offensive aggression into her game. When Osorio arrived on the WTA tour she was content to be a counter-punching baseliner.

Now, Osorio is more adept at taking control of points and playing as the aggressor. This addition to her tactics to beat her opponent has caused Osorio's rise in the rankings.

At only 20 years old, it is reasonable to expect that she will continue her rise for the next couple of seasons.

Diane Parry Analysis

Diane Parry is coming off the biggest win of her career with their three-set victory over defending champion and world number 2 Barbora Krejčíková.

Playing on court Phillipe Chartier, all eyes were on Parry and the crowd was raucous in their support of their hometown hero. Parry obliged her fans by winning an exciting match.

After falling behind early, she was able to get a 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory. Unfortunately, that scoreline does reveal some of the flaws in expecting Parry's unlikely run to continue.

Diane Parry was getting dominated until Krejčíková ran out of steam. This was Krejčíková's first match since Doha, and dealing with injuries, her conditioning and fitness are nowhere near ready to play at the tour level.

Krejčíková pushed herself in order to come back for the Grand Slam appearance, yet it was not enough to be ready to play at the WTA level just yet.

The Cinderella story for Diane Parry ends here. This is a huge letdown spot, coming off the biggest win of her career in favorable conditions.

Now she plays a battle-tested counter-puncher who will definitely put her fitness and conditioning to the test.

Osorio vs. Parry: Betting Pick and Prediction

I have no doubt that Parry is committed to her conditioning, but getting back up to a top-level of play after such an emotional win is tough for any player to do.

I expect Camila Osorio to show why she is one of my favorite young prospects on the tour.

Our second best bet for the French Open is Camila Osorio -4 games.
