We are at the final stage of the Champions League group stage, the true business end of the groups for those teams yet to qualify for the next phase or for the lower Europa League. This week we are targeting cards in two games between teams who are yet to qualify and a thrilling matchup between the Barcelona and Bayern Munch. Our Champions League betting parlay is a nice +255 with most sportsbooks.

FC Porto vs. Atletico Madrid

Tuesday, December 07, 2021 – 03:00 PM EST at Estádio do Dragão

Both Porto and Atletico Madrid start their knockout football early as a loss for either team here could send them packing. It’s a complicated situation depending on Ac Milan’s result against Liverpool, which one would imagine would be valiant considering they're on home soil and Liverpool are guaranteed top spot so they might rest one or two key players here in a game that is meaningless for them.

Porto and Atletico Madrid are at the mercy of Milan and Liverpool and all these teams can do to give them a chance of advancing into the next round is to just win. A win for Porto will see them guaranteed Champions League football after Christmas, a win for Madrid and Milan could see Porto miraculously end the group in last and knockout out of both the Champions League and Europa League.

Atletico Madrid is far from the solid, defensive juggernaut that they have been in recent years, a home loss to Mallorca at the weekend is not good for the La Liga defending champions heading into this very important game.

We are seeing 5 cards in this game EASY; these teams are renowned for picking up cards and now that we have so much on the line here theirs bound to be plenty of yellows handed out from French referee C Turpin. The last time these played a few weeks ago there were nine yellow and one red-handed out.

Bayern Munich vs. FC Barcelona

Wednesday, December 08, 2021 - 03:00 PM EST at Camp Nou

Bayern Munich has DOMINATED this group, winning every single game, and scoring 19 goals along the way, and only conceding 3 goals in their five games played thus far. Munich are already qualified and although this really is a nothing game to them, they will never be ones to miss an opportunity to beat Barcelona on home soil.

However, this game is a must-win for Barcelona because if they fail to do so and Benfica beat Dynamo Kiev, Barcelona will be dumped into the Europa League for the first time ever, and they last appeared in the second tier of European football way back in 2004. Munch would be very happy to assist in them heading out of the competition at the group stages. The last time these met Munich won 3-0, we are happy to take over 2.5 goals in this game. At the very least we should see three goals.

VfL Wolfsburg vs. Lille OSC

Wednesday, December 08, 2021 - 03:00 PM EST at Volkswagen Arena

Finally, we have the group that has been by far the tightest since day matchday one and also the group that has produced the most cards in the Champions League thus far this season with 64 yellows and 3 red cards. This game has a lot on the line here but Wolfsburg need a lot to go their way to qualify, as a win would only see them go level with Lille, and depending on Sevilla and Salzburg, they still might not make the knockout phase, although a win for the home side would most likely see them into the Europa League.

This could be an exciting game and Wolfsburg at home will be a difficult game for Lille, this game has a draw or 2-1 / 1-0 home win written all over it. We are more than happy to take both these teams over 1.5 cards for -200 to wrap up our Champions League midweek parlay. When these teams met earlier in the group stage, we have seen 8 yellow cards and 1 red-handed out.
