Matchday 6 of the Premier League kicks off this weekend with some cracking fixtures at hand like the clash of the titans between Chelsea and Man City or the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham. We found some nice value in both these fixtures as well as a same game multi between Leeds United and high-flying West Ham. Let’s get into the Premier League odds and predictions.

Chelsea F.C. vs. Manchester City F.C.

Saturday, September 25, 2021 – 07:30 AM EDT at Stamford Bridge

Man City and Pep Guardiola have their work cut out as they are already 3 points adrift on Chelsea. On top of this, Guardiola has a poor record against Thomas Tuchel after suffering two defeats in a row, one of them being the all-important Champions League.

The signing of Romelu Lukaku has been a big addition to the squad and has netted three goals in four games thus far. Chelsea has kept four clean sheets from their opening five games and since Tuchel has taken charge they have seen fifteen clean sheets in 24 Premier League games, the best record of any team in the past 24 league games.

Man City will be somewhat disappointed with the start of the season although a victory here would see them go level on points with Chelsea. However, they should be worried as Man City has suffered eight defeats to Chelsea since Guardiola's time in charge, and they have now lost 4 games in a row to the "Blues" dating back to Frank Lampard time in charge. Guardiola has not lost more than four consecutive games to any team in his managerial career.

We like the draw here at +225, although Chelsea has had Man City’s number in recent times, you have to expect Guardiola’s men will bounce back with a positive result here, a straight win would be a lot to ask away to Chelsea so we are happy to take the draw in this Premier League game.

Leeds United Association F.C. vs. West Ham F.C.

Saturday, September 25, 2021 - 10:00 AM EDT at Elland Road

Unlike last season, Leeds Utd has had a rocky start to this year’s Premier League having conceded twelve goals in five games (the 3rd most in the league) they are also lingering just above the relegation zone with just three points secured to date.

Leeds have their work cut out as their opponents West Ham are flying high having almost secured a point against Man Utd in their last league game, they then went on to knock Man Utd. out of the EFL Cup during the midweek. The “Hammers” are looking good for a European place for next season if they can keep up this form for the majority of the season. West Ham is undefeated in their previous nine games in which they started the betting market as pre-game favorites. West Ham also won both fixtures against Leeds Utd. last season.

It’s hard to argue against a West Ham win here but we think they might have a small hangover having played Man Utd. back to back. We are targeting a small bet combo for this game with corners and goals.

Both West Ham and Leeds have seen an average of over 3.5 corners a game thus far this season with West Ham and Leeds both averaging 5 corners per game. We are taking both teams over 3.5 corners plus over 1.5 match goals at -110. This play would have cashed in both games last season.

Arsenal F.C. vs. Tottenham Hotspurs F.C.

Sunday, September 26, 2021 - 11:30 AM EDT at The Emirates Stadium

Amazingly the Gunners can go level on points with Tottenham with a win here, which is pretty staggering considering after matchday 3 Tottenham was top of the Premier League table and Arsenal was at the bottom. Although we must consider the circumstances in which Arsenal have won their previous two games and Tottenham have lost their previous two games.

Arsenal beat a lowly Norwich and Burnley both 1-0 which is far from impressive. Tottenham had a hangover against Crystal Palace following a midweek Conference League fixture, and their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea isn’t ideal but we must remember not many teams will beat Chelsea this season, not even Arsenal.

Both teams will see this is a MUST not lose game hence the reason we think the draw is the safest play here. Interestingly only two of the previous 10 head 2 head games between these teams have ended in a draw.
