It only seems like yesterday we had the previous round of qualifiers. With just four rounds of the World Cup qualifiers to go, we are getting down to the nitty-gritty of the group stages. This round has been very hard to find some value but we did manage to dig out some soccer picks.

Turkey vs. Norway

Saturday, October 8, 2021 – 3:45 PM EDT at Ülker Stadyumu

This is a massive game for the home side of Turkey, as they are currently two points behind group leaders Netherland (who will most likely win against Latvia) and also two points behind today's opposition Norway. Home advantage is going to play a huge part here.

Turkey beat Norway 3-0 last time these teams met and we see a similar sort of scoreline here in this matchup, although don’t be surprised to see Norway put up a goal or two here with the young Erin Haaland upfront. We believe there to be significant value on the over 2.5 goals for -110, we were expecting these odds to be closer to -130.

Turkey's five home games this campaign have seen a whopping average of 5.3 goals scored. Consider taking the Over 3.0 goal line at +150, meaning a push if the game lands on exactly three goals.

Germany vs. Romania

Saturday, October 8, 2021 – 3:45 PM EDT at Volksparkstadion

A draw would be massive here for Romania’s chances of making the World Cup, unfortunately for them, they face the might of Germany. A win here for the home side would most likely see them guaranteed to top the group unless a miracle happens.

The home side here has been averaging almost 3 goals per game and all three German home games this campaign have seen over 2.5 goals scored. The last time these teams met it was only a 1-0 win for Germany, which in our eyes means we like the over 2.5 even more because historically Germany rarely sees under 2.5 goals twice in a row against mid to lower-ranked national teams.

Cyprus vs. Croatia

Saturday, October 8, 2021 – 3: 45pm EDT at AEK Arena

The second leg of this Parlay is a no-brainer, Cyprus sits bottom of Group H having only picked up 4 points thus far, compared to table-toppers Croatia who has picked up a total of 13 points. These teams also ranked joint last in average goals per game with just 1.5 each. Croatia should have enough to see off Cyprus despite just a 1-0 win on home soil, although 1-0 was very flattering for Cyprus as they were outshot 18 shots to 2.

Cyprus have virtually nothing to play for most of the time other than national pride, Croatia should prove to be strong here, plus it’s a must-win game for the Croatian as they are level on points with Russia to advance to the World Cup automatically.

Azerbaijan vs. Ireland

Sunday, October 9, 2021 – 12:00 PM EDT at Baku Olympic Stadium

Ireland has been slowly getting better and better under coach Steven Kenny, although they are still yet to win under Kenny, making the total number of games without a win in competitive fixtures stretching to 16 now for the Republic of Ireland. They were heavily expected to get their first win in the first match between these teams in Dublin. A late Irish goal from Shane Duffy was only enough to earn them a draw.

Ireland has historically struggled away from home and being made favorites in this game is slightly crazy in our eyes, would you trust this team to win the following 16 games without a win? Both Azerbaijan and Ireland are yet to pick up points at home and away from home respectively.

Azerbaijan is a long flight for the Irish players and a country that is difficult to play in, with a whopping 8 of the previous 22 games finishing in a draw. This is high giving the fact they are a lower-tier team and expected to lose much of their games. We are backing the home side to not lose here at -135, it’s a bit of juice to give up but we are happy to do so here.
