D.C. United vs. Nashville SC

Saturday, June 25, 2022 – 05:00 PM EDT at Audi Field

D.C. United: Soccer Analysis

D.C. United welcome Nashville SC to Audi Field in the nation’s capital for a 5:00 PM EDT kick-off. According to the sports betting markets, the hosts are the favorites, albeit tipped in plus money.

The hosts will be eager to get their season on track at the expense of Nashville in this weekend’s round of MLS action, but their current run of form isn’t encouraging.

The Capitals come into this game winless in their last five fixtures and, consequently, they’re down to 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings behind a 4-2-8 mark and 14 points.

Nashville SC: Soccer Analysis

Nashville SC is coming off a 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City that ended a 25-match unbeaten streak. Streaks inevitably end. That’s the Law of Averages, for you. Nevertheless, it was a disappointing outcome against a questionable team.

On the bright side, the Western Conference debutants are in the midst of a solid season. Nashville SC is sixth in the conference standings with a 6-5-5 record and 23 points.

Moreover, the visitors are undefeated against D.C. United in their last three meetings (two wins and a draw)

Inter Miami CF vs. Minnesota United FC

Saturday, June 25, 2022 - 08:00 PM EDT at DRV PNK Stadium

Inter Miami CF: Soccer Analysis

Inter Miami is looking to bounce back this weekend after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Atlanta United. It marked their first defeat in their last five MLS fixtures and first defeat on the road since losing 1-0 to Charlotte FC on May 7.

Phil Neville’s side has been enjoying a solid run of form of late. They’re up in the Eastern Conference standings, sitting pretty in 10th place with a 5-3-7 mark and 18 points.

They’re merely two points adrift of Charlotte FC in seventh place.

Minnesota United FC: Soccer Analysis

Minnesota United FC finds itself in a similar position, looking towards a bounce-back performance this weekend after a disappointing turnout against New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium last weekend.

Following the 2-1 loss on the road, Minnesota United FC slipped to 11th place in the Western Conference standings with a 5-3-7 mark and 18 points.

Two points separate Minnesota from the Seattle Sounders and seventh place in the standings.

Inter Miami CF vs Minnesota United FC: Betting Pick and Odds

This interconference clash is delicately poised at the sportsbook exchange with both sides tipped on betting odds that are just a hairbreadth apart.

The hosts, tipped at +148 to win, are slightly favored over Minnesota United FC, who are best priced at +187 with BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review).

With both sides looking to bounce back this weekend, the draw priced at +260 with BetOnline is a reasonable option. Put it this way, neither side would sniff at a point from this fixture.

Philadelphia Union vs. New York City FC

Sunday, June 26, 2022 - 06:00 PM EDT at Subaru Park

Philadelphia Union: Soccer Analysis

Philadelphia Union has fallen out of the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings in recent weeks. They’re down to third place with a 6-8-1 record and 26 points.

On the bright side, they’re riding an unbeaten streak of five straight games that goes back to May 11 when they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Orlando City.

It’s true that during this run of form they’ve had a few too many draws and not enough wins, but that’s just nit-picking.

New York City FC: Soccer Analysis

Defending champions NYCFC are riding high in the Eastern Conference standings, in first place with an 8-3-3 mark and 27 points. Only a point separates NYCFC from second-placed New York Red Bulls and third-placed Philadelphia Union.

NYCFC’s 12-game unbeaten run across all competitions ended last weekend behind a 3-0 loss to their city rivals, the New York Red Bulls. It marked their first defeat since April 7 when they lost to the Seattle Sounders 3-1 in CCL action.

NYCFC began a new era with Nick Cushing’s after the abrupt departure of former head coach Ronny Deila, who accepted the head coaching job with Belgium's Standard Liege. Cushing served as Deila’s assistant coach, so there is some continuity in New York. But last weekend’s setback doesn’t augur well as the defending champions were thoroughly ambushed.

Philadelphia Union vs. New York City FC: Betting Pick and Odds

Arguably, this is the blockbuster matchup of the weekend between two sides that many MLS betting fans regard as legitimate MLS contenders.

In theory, this could go either way. However, with NYCFC struggling to come to terms with their coaching midseason coaching change, the hosts have an opportunity to get one over the defending champs.
