Everton vs. Arsenal
Saturday, February 4, 2023 – 07:30 AM EST at Goodison Park
Premier League Trends & Current Form
- Arsenal is undefeated in 13 consecutive EPL games
- Everton has lost 4 consecutive home games
- Everton has conceded 1 or more goals in 9 straight games in all competitions
A Tale of Two Halves
Eighteen Premier League positions separate Arsenal and their weekend hosts Everton, as two clubs sitting in opposing halves of the division will do battle for opposite reasons.
Thirty-five points shy of the league leaders Arsenal, Everton’s relegation battle continues. Still, fans of the Toffees will be hoping the debut of newly appointed head coach Sean Dyche can assist their climb out of the drop zone moving forward.
Worryingly, backstage politics seems to have left Everton without a single transfer signing during the January window. And at the same time, they’ve let go of their star man Anthony Gordon.
Dyche doesn’t have a simple task ahead of him, but first, he’ll need to break the four-game losing streak on home soil that his team has endured. Furthermore, he’ll want to put some points on the board as Everton is now winless in 10 straight games since October last year.
Remaining Focussed
Mikel Arteta and company will need to remain laser-focused on the task at hand to keep stacking points and maintain the Premier League’s first-place positioning. After losing to Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup last weekend, egos could be damaged. Still, there’s no time for whimpering because taking three points from Goodison Park is the only result worthy of the table toppers.
Cup competitions aside, Arsenal travels north on Saturday behind a 13-game undefeated streak in top-flight domestic action. In addition, the Gunners have won 6 of their last 7 EPL away games, and their previous meeting with Everton ended in a 5-1 dismantling in North London.
Betting Pick and Prediction
The available EPL odds are naturally siding with Premier League leaders, and we can’t disagree. Even if Dyche can instill some of his defensive masterclasses into Everton, it isn’t easy to envision this doing anything more than stopping a three or four-goal line into two or three.
Arteta arrives in a familiar setting at Merseyside. We expect the Gunners boss to lead his team to victory with an Everton squad that undoubtedly needs more than a new manager to fix their plethora of issues.

Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace
Saturday, February 4, 2023 - 10:00 AM EST at Old Trafford
Premier League Trends & Current Form
- Man Utd are unbeaten in 22 of their last 24 games in all competitions
- Man Utd have avoided defeat at Old Trafford in 14 successive meetings
- Crystal Palace scores a low average of 0.82 in their away fixtures
Avoiding a January Repeat with Revenge in Mind
Erik ten Hag has unquestionably settled into his role at Manchester United following some criticism last season, as he’s now guiding the Red Devils to a top-four finish this term with 12 wins, 3 draws, and 5 losses from 20 domestic appearances this term.
However, United’s weekend opponent dented their run in January as Crystal Palace found a last-minute goal to level the score at Selhurst Park. And with that in mind, revenge is on the cards as Patrick Vieira’s men must travel to the daunting grounds of Old Trafford on Saturday morning.
United was high on life after taking three points from City in the Manchester derby when they traveled to Selhurst Park to take on Palace, but a Michael Olise free-kick stunned the crowds as the home side managed to collect a point.
No Guards at this Palace
Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira isn’t receiving much praise from the Selhurst faithful. More concerningly, they’ve collected just two wins from their previous nine EPL away games, and scoring goals hasn’t been their forte.
Failing to score against Newcastle, Chelsea, and Tottenham during January’s schedule isn’t a good sign. The memorizing free-kick from Olise was thanks to personal skill rather than a team effort.
Betting Pick and Prediction
The available EPL odds have slapped a whopping -240 price tag on the home side's moneyline, so there isn’t much value. With that said, we should expect the likes of Marcus Rashford to continue his fine form this weekend, especially after putting on a valiant effort in their losing game to Arsenal last time out.
We can boost the winning odds of the Red Devils by adding the over 1.5 goals, but we’ll need those numbers to be settled by Ten Hag’s men, as Palace doesn’t look capable of finding the net.
Score Prediction: Man Utd 2 - C Palace 0
