Borussia Dortmund vs. Hertha BSC
Saturday, May 14, 2022 – 09:30 AM EDT at Signal Iduna Park
Borussia Dortmund sealed second place in the Bundesliga table and a spot in next season’s Champions League last weekend after beating Greuther Fürth 3-1.
BVB was riding a three-game losing streak across all competitions before matchday 33, although it didn’t cost them at all in the standings because they had a significant advantage over third-placed Bayer Leverkusen in the table. As it is, BVB is 21-3-9 with 66 points.
Hertha BSC is in a different predicament as they sit in 15th place in the table with a 9-6-13 mark and 33 points. Hertha is merely three points clear of VfB Stuttgart and the drop zone.
Hertha’s form down the stretch is mixed. They are 2-1-2 in their last five fixtures and coming off a 2-1 loss to Mainz in the nation’s capital.

The job’s done for BVB on the season. They’ve nothing left to play for in their final Bundesliga game, save to give their fans one last chance to cheer.
Hertha, by contrast, needs a point to secure another Bundesliga campaign. Doing it at the expense of the Black and Yellow at their fortress in Signal Iduna – no less -- is no mean feat.
How to Bet Dortmund vs. Hertha?
More likely than not, Die Borussen should come through here. They are the better team, have home advantage and it’s their final game of the season in front of their fans.
Then again, perhaps, the draw is actually worth a small tickle for soccer picks! Granted this presupposes that BVB’s lack of incentive will factor or manager Marco Rose decides to field a watered-down side.
Under such circumstances, though, Hertha could expect some kind of a positive result. Let’s face it, it wouldn’t be the first time that an upset occurred in the final game after all.
VfB Stuttgart vs. 1. FC Köln
Saturday, May 14, 2022 - 09:30 AM EDT at Mercedes-Benz Arena
VfB Stuttgart is faced with a must-win game to survive while FC Koln faces their last chance to clinch a spot in the Conference League qualifiers next season. Something’s gotta give when this pair collides at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart.
VfB Stuttgart ranks 16th in the Bundesliga table with a 6-12-15 record and 30 points. They are three points clear of 17th-placed Arminia Bielefeld and three points adrift of Hertha BSC.
Stuttgart's last lap around domestic action resulted in a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena last weekend, taking a crucial point off the defending champions and one tentative step closer to safety.
FC Koln is seventh in the table with a solid 14-10-9 mark and 52 points. They are two points adrift of sixth-placed Union Berlin and three points adrift of fifth-placed SC Freiburg.

Die Geißböcke were riding the momentum of a four-game winning streak until last weekend’s 1-0 loss at home to Wolfsburg derailed them. It was a missed opportunity to grab valuable three points that they might rue when all is said and done.
How to Bet Stuttgart vs. Koln?
There’s a lot of pressure on both camps to come through with the win here, but even then a lot rides on the outcome of other matches too. Their fates aren’t in their hands only.
Although Koln is the higher-ranked team, they’re disadvantaged in markets across various top-rated sportsbooks.
Their Bundesliga odds are very tempting, but that doesn’t mean they’re the value play as a result.
In fact, the hosts are probably more desperate because survival in Germany’s top-flight league is on the line. They’ll be buoyed by their draw against Bayern Munich too.
