MMA never stops happening anymore… Like ever, which is why Bellator returns to London this weekend with Bellator 281 on Showtime.

This means I’ve had to give you beautiful humans the best bet for this weekend’s card as Michael “Venom” Page returns home to the main event the card against Logan Storley.

Michael Page vs. Logan Storley

Friday, May 13, 2022 – 04:00 PM EDT at OVO Arena Wembley

Interim Welterweight Championship

Bellator 281 Main Event Breakdown

Heading into Bellator 281, Storley is riding a two-fight winning streak with decision wins over Neiman Gracie in February of this year and Dante Schiro in late 2021, but fell in late 2020 on the wrong side of a split decision against Yaroslav Amosov, who happens to be the Bellator welterweight champion who was pulled from his fight against Page due to his serving in the current war in his native Ukraine.

Six of Sorley’s Bellator fights have come down to the scorecards, with three of them ending via TKO, the last coming due to the ref stopping his 2019 fight against E.J. Brooks due to Brooks’ arm injury.

Despite only fighting one of his last four fights, his most recent an October 2021 split decision win over common opponent Douglas Lima coming at welterweight, Page finds himself as the number one contender in the welterweight division, the rest coming at a catchweight.

His 2021 win and 2019 loss to Lima acted as bookends for an active six-fight winning streak, where despite his not fighting at 170 pounds, he’s cooked four of them via TKO, three of which came in the first round.

MVP vs. Storley Betting Pick and Odds

Yet, walking into this weekend it is Storley and not Page who BetOnline has set at the favorite (-300), with Page locked in as a +250 underdog.

This makes a little bit of sense due to the catchweight fights, but with Page fighting in his hometown and for a title for the first time in his career, coupled with the level of opponent he’s faced in his time fighting for Bellator.

The fact that despite the Amosov and Gracie fights, Storley has faced a lower class of competitors makes it hard for me to take that line seriously and feels like a gift for U.K. MMA fans like our own Dave Manyun.

With that being said, I’d take a flier on Page for this weekend, at +300 betting odds, you may have your best bet to win this weekend and win handsomely, you may wanna hedge it on something or possibly roll the Page bet into a parlay with a few favorites on the card.
