There is a feast of NHL on across the next two days with 21 games taking place across a 43-hour timeline, with 10 teams playing back to backs. With so many games to choose from today, we believe to have found some of the best value NHL picks available across tonight’s slate.

Here are four player props we are betting on for today’s NHL betting card.

Overall NHL Article Plays This Season: 120-89

Picks Summary

  • David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins) – Over 1.5 Points (+130)
  • Adam Fox (New York Rangers) – Over 0.5 Assists (-120)
  • Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay Lightning) – Over 2.5 Shots (-130)
  • Adrian Kempe (Los Angeles Kings) – Anytime Goalscorer (+135)

Buffalo Sabres vs. Boston Bruins

Thursday, March 2, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at TD Garden

David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins)

  • Goals Scored: 42
  • Goals Assisted: 38
  • Shots Per Game: 4.76

Coming into tonight’s game David Pastrnak is tied with the Buffalo Sabres’ Tage Thompson on 80 points for the season, which is jointly ranked third-best overall in the NHL. With a little motivation for scoring points, and on home ice we are very much liking Pastrnak’s chances to see 2+ game points in this one at +130 NHL odds.

Pastrnak has been hitting over 1.5 game points in 41% of his games this season, which is a high percentage in this stat. The Czech-born player has already scored 3 points in 2 games against Buffalo this season. He also fests against his divisional rivals, averaging 1.35 points per game against Atlantic opposition.

NHL Pick: David Pastrnak Over 1.5 Points (+130) at Heritage Sports

Ottawa Senators vs. New York Rangers

Thursday, March 2, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Madison Square Garden

Adam Fox (New York Rangers)

  • Goals Scored: 10
  • Goals Assisted: 46
  • Shots Per Game: 2.13

Adam Fox’s 46 assists are the sixth-best overall in the NHL this season and ranked as the second most on the Rangers roster (three behind Artemi Panarin).

We believe over 0.5 assists for Fox to be a strong set of odds in this NHL matchup. Fox has already scored one assist in two previous meetings with the Senators as well as the fact he has scored 9 assists in 11 games on the second of a back-to-back, which is impressive scoring considering he had no rest.

Fox has had an assist in 7 of his previous 12 NHL games, on home ice, and being one of the top playmakers in the league we are more than happy to lay the -120 juice on Fox in this scenario.

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

Thursday, March 2, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Amalie Arena

Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay Lightning)

  • Goals Scored:
  • Goals Assisted: 35
  • Shots Per Game: 2.38

Although Victor Hedman’s shooting has been sporadic at times this season, we are happy to lay the -130 betting odds on Hedman to see over 2.5 in this home-ice matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Hedman might only average 2.38 shots per game but has averaged 4 shots per game in his previous two meetings with the Pittsburgh Penguins this season. Hedman averages his highest amount of shots per game after one day’s rest (which he has had) coming in at 2.54 per game.

The Swedish-born player has also been trigger-happy in recent games going over his 2.5 shot total in 10 of his previous 14 games. It also helps to know that the Pittsburgh Penguins allow the fourth-most amount of shots against in the entire NHL.

NHL Pick: Victor Hedman Over 2.5 Shots (-130) at BetOnline

Montreal Canadiens vs. Los Angeles Kings

Thursday, March 2, 2023 – 10:30 PM EST at Crypto.com Arena

Adrian Kempe (Los Angeles Kings)

  • Goals Scored: 28
  • Goals Assisted: 18
  • Shots Per Game: 2.93

We are backing Adrian Kempe to break his goalless streak tonight at +135 odds to score anytime on home ice against this Montreal Canadiens team who allow 3.58 goals per game and the sixth most amount of shots against per game.

Kempe hasn’t scored in six games now despite being the L.A. Kings’ top scorer this season. Kempe has already netted against the Canadiens this season, let’s just hope Kempe’s 3 goals in 13 games on Thursday night don’t come to haunt us here.

Angelenos, you can bet on this NHL player prop or any of the others at these major California betting sites.
