Player props in the NHL have been a great success so far this season going 25-11 overall and we are confident we can pull some more winners out of the bag tonight as we are loving some of these matchups available on this ten-game slate.
Arizona Coyotes vs. Buffalo Sabres
Tuesday, November 8, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at KeyBank Center
Tage Thompson (Buffalo Sabres)
- Over 3.5 Shots
The high-flying Buffalo Sabres are playing host to the 4-6-1 Arizona Coyotes.
Arizona has been one of the worst teams in the league for a while now and has the third worst goals-against record and the 10th worst shots-against total, all whilst having played two games less most of the league, meaning they could very well have the worst of both stats when they catch up.
Buffalo winger Tage Thompson has been very good to us this season cashing his shots-total bets, and luckily for us, we avoided him in his past three matchups because on all three occasions he saw less than four shots.
We believe today is the day to jump right back on Thompson's shots Over 3.5 on home ice against this Arizona team.
Montreal Canadiens vs. Detroit Red Wings
Tuesday, November 8, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at Little Caesars Arena
David Perron (Detroit Red Wings)
- Over 0.5 Assists
Thirty-four-year-old NHL veteran David Perron looks like some really nice value to see an assist tonight at NHL odds of+175.
The winger has played for six NHL teams and is a Stanley Cup winner with the St. Louis Blues. Perron has started his Detroit Red Wings career with 5 goals and 3 assists but has traditionally been known as more of a playmaker having had 399 assists compared to his still very impressive 274 goals in 985 regular season games.
On postseason, he has played 104 matches, scoring 24 times, and assisting 37.
Take Perron to get an assist tonight as he has done so in 2 of his past 3 games and seems to be finding his feet with his new team. Alternatively, if you wanted to play it safer for NHL picks, he is available to score a goal or assist (over 0.5 points) at -135.
Edmonton Oilers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Tuesday, November 8, 2022 – 07:30 PM EST at Amalie Arena
Steven Stamkos (Tampa Bay Lightning)
- Over 3.5 Shots
As we have discussed many times here, the Edmonton Oilers are so bad defensively and they have allowed the second most amount of shots on net this season.
Tampa Bay on home ice seems like they could be another problem for the Oilers tonight as they are facing a back-to-back scenario and put a lot of effort into their game last night against the Washington Capitals in a 5-4 loss.
Steven Stamkos is the Lightning's number one shot taker this season having averaged 4.2 shots per game, so for us to be getting him to see 4+ shots on home ice at -110 against a team that allows a ton of shots, it seems like a steal.
Stamkos has seen 4 or more shots in 8 of his 12 games played this season and has only seen 2 shots in each of his previous two games. He should be trigger-happy tonight against one of the worst defensive teams in the league.
NHL Prop Pick: Over 3.5 Shots (-110) at BetOnline
Minnesota Wild vs. Los Angeles Kings
Tuesday, November 8, 2022 – 10:30 PM EST at Crypto.com Arena
Trevor Moore (Los Angeles Kings)
- Over 2.5 Shots
It’s that time of the week again: Trevor Moore time. Our favorite over-shot-total player this season could be in for another big night on the ice against the Minnesota Wild.
In the previous game against the Wild, he had 6 shots on net (the most of any game this season) and has seen his shot total go over 2.5 in 10 of 14 games.
There is value here despite laying -124 at some of the best sportsbooks, as we believe he should be around -140 to see 3+ shots in tonight’s game.
