Today’s NHL odds board has plenty of exciting matchups, most notably the Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals going head to head for the second time in three days as well as the high-flying Seattle Kraken who host the Winnipeg Jets.

Let’s take a look at these matchups to find some profitable NHL player props.

Washington Capitals vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

Sunday, November 13, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at Amalie Arena

Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay Lightning)

  • Over/Under 1.5 Points

We are targeting Nikita Kucherov to see over 1.5 points in tonight’s game back on home ice following a 5-1 defeat on the road to Washington a few days ago. Kucherov has been the Lightning's main points scorer this season and leads the team with the most points having accumulated 21 in total (6 more than second-best Brayden Point).

Kucherov has scored six goals and assisted fifteen times taking his all-time regular season stats to 251 goals and 385 assists in just 576 games played.

As always, we love the bounce-back angle here as Kucherov failed to register a single point in the 5-1 defeat last time but prior to that he had scored at least one point in 12 of 13 games. He has seen 2+ points in 6 of 14 games this season.

NHL Pick: Over 1.5 Points at +150 at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

Brayden Point (Tampa Bay Lightning)

  • Over/Under 0.5 Assist

We are sticking with the Tampa Bay Lightning players here because we believe they will put up some goals on this Capitals team on home ice and in a revenge spot. Brayden Point has been second in line to Kucherov in terms of scoring points for his team this season.

Although our favorite NHL pick for Brayden Point is to register at least one game point, you will have to lay -200 which is a lot of juice for our liking.

We figure taking him to see 1+ assist will be a better approach here at odds of +110 as he has been on a hot streak lately when it comes to assisting goals having registered an assist for five games in a row prior to the last outing.

NHL Pick: Over 0.5 Assist (+110) at Heritage Sports (visit our Heritage Sports Review)

Winnipeg Jets vs. Seattle Kraken

Sunday, November 13, 2022 – 08:00 PM EST at Climate Pledge Arena

Josh Morrissey (Winnipeg Jets)

  • Over/Under 0.5 Points

This Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken matchup represents some good NHL betting value on Jets defender Josh Morrissey to see at least one game point at -124.

The 13th overall draft pick in 2013 Morrissey has seen the most points on this Jets team with 14 in 13 games played. Taking a look at his success rate he has seen at least one point in 10 of 13 games this season, that’s a 76% success rate.

Morrissey has been red hot in recent games as he is currently on a 4-game point streak totaling six points.

Although the Seattle Kraken are a tough team to beat this year, Winnipeg are equally as tough and a win here for the road team would see them overtake Seattle in the Western Conference.

NHL Pick: Over 0.5 Points (-124) at BetOnline

Jaden Schwartz (Seattle Kraken)

  • Over/Under 2.5 Shots

Only on rare occasions do we like taking an under’s bet on NHL player props, mostly because your bet could be potentially dead after just the first few minutes of the game. We cashed our one and only under earlier in the season and we are hoping to make it 2-0 here.

We are targeting Seattle’s Jaden Schwartz to see less than 3 shots on net tonight, Schwartz has only been averaging 2.4 shots per game this season and has not seen 3+ shots for five games in a row now.

Winnipeg have allowed the 5th least amount of shots this season (Seattle the 4th least) and we believe this game between these two teams will be incredibly tight and shots could be hard to come by.

Schwartz has seen 2/8/0/1/4/2 shots in in his previous five games when facing the Winnipeg Jets. He hasn’t brought his shooting gloves in almost two weeks now and we are hoping it stays that way tonight.

NHL Pick: Under 2.5 Shots (-130) at Everygame (visit our Everygame Review
