Saturday brings us another big card at the NHL odds board, with almost the entire league playing tonight across 15 games.

We are liking two Colorado players in this road spot against Washington. Boston plays host to Chicago, and we are targeting one St Louis player to see 3+ shots against the lowly Anaheim Ducks.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Washington Capitals

Saturday, November 19, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at Capital One Arena

Mikko Rantanen (Colorado Avalanche)

  • Over 2.5 Shots

After Nathan MacKinnon, it’s been Rantanen who has taken the second most amount of shots on this Avalanche team with an average of 3.2 per game. The Finnish-born forward has been the Avalanches top goalscorer this season, with 11 goals.

Despite having failed to see 3+ match shots in 2 of his previous 3 games, we must take note both games he went under were against the Carolina Hurricanes, and they are one of the best teams at not allowing shots (2nd best in the league).

We expect normal service to resume for Rantanen, and we don’t mind laying -140 for him to see 3+ shots today against a Washington Capitals team who have allowed the 2nd most amount of shots so far this season.

NHL Pick: Mikko Rantanen Over 2.5 Shots (-140) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

Nathan MacKinnon (Colorado Avalanche)

  • Over 1.5 Points

Both Washington and Colorado come into this game with a lot of injuries, but the Avalanche have the depth to deal with the current situation, while Washington have obviously been struggling, winning just 2 of their previous 10 and allowing an average of 3.7 goals across those ten games.

MacKinnon has been the 8th highest points scorer in the NHL this season, totaling 24 points at a ratio of 1.5 points per game. We have no doubt come the end of the regular season. he will be inside the top 5 points scorers.

MacKinnon has seen over 1.5 game points in 8 of his 15 games played this season and even went on a five-game stretch scoring 2+ points before his previous two outings where he ended with 1 and zero, respectively. Last time out was just the 3rd time this season he didn’t score a single point, this looks like a great bounce-back spot for MacKinnon to get some points on the scoreboard.

NHL Pick: Nathan MacKinnon Over 1.5 Points (+120) at Heritage Sports (visit our Heritage Sports Review)

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Boston Bruins

Saturday, November 19, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at TD Garden

David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins)

  • Anytime Goalscorer

The 3rd highest points scorer across the NHL this season and his team’s top goalscorer with 9 goals, David Pastrnak will be confident he can get back on the scoreboard tonight against this Chicago team following three games where he went without a goal and only managed to score in 2 of his previous 8 games.

Prior to that run, he had scored a goal in 7 of 9 games, although he has been contributing to the team's scoring, having scored at least one assist in 6 of his previous 8 games.

Although his recent goalscoring record against the Blackhawks doesn’t bode for good reading 0/2/0/0/1/0/1 goals in his previous 7.

We believe he will be actively seeking a goal tonight, if you don’t want to lay -110 on him to score anytime for this NHL pick, we also like a riskier bet taking Pastrnak to score first at +600.

Jake DeBrusk (Boston Bruins)

  • Over 2.5 Shots

One of our favorite NHL player props today is Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk to bounce back with his shots total in a big way tonight.

The 26-year-old has been the Bruins' second highest shot taker this season, with an average of 3.5 shots per game, and he cleared his over 2.5 shots line in 10 of 16 games played this season.

DeBrusk’s recent games have not been favorable for shots, having seen under three shots taken in 6 of his previous 8 games. We are liking this spot for DeBrusk to get shots against Chicago.

Anaheim Ducks vs. St. Louis Blues

Saturday, November 19, 2022 – 08:00 PM EST at Enterprise Center

Vladimir Tarasenko (St. Louis Blues)

  • Over 2.5 Shots

The Anaheim Ducks have allowed the most shots this season, and heading into a red-hot St. Louis team isn’t ideal. The Blues went 0-8 but have since gone 5-0 and are looking to extend that streak on home ice against a very winnable Ducks team.

Although Tarasenko has only seen 3+ shots in 9 of 16 games this season, we have to believe he will get some shots against this Ducks team on home ice.

Of course the obvious play for St. Louis is Jordan Kyrou, but his shot line being set at 3.5 is a little high for us at -110. If anything, we would almost rather have an alternative Tarasenko shot line for over 3.5 at around +130 or better.

Tarasenko only had 1 shot in a 5-4 win over the Capitals last time out, we expect much more from him tonight.

NHL Pick: Vladimir Tarasenko Over 2.5 Shots (-135) at BetOnline
