Boston Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

Thursday, January 26, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Amalie Arena

Patrice Bergeron (Boston Bruins)

  • Over 0.5 Points

Despite being just the 4th highest points scorer on the Boston Bruins roster, we are liking Bergeron to stay hot tonight having now scored at least one point in 7 of his previous 9 games.

Bergeron has seen at least one point in 61% of his 47 games played, which in the NHL odds is -157, meaning we are getting some small value on his Over 0.5 points at -130. Understandably the odds are also a little better because the Bruins are facing a strong team on the road.

Although the Lighting is a strong team we still like this play as the Lighting has much more to worry about than Bergeron.

For Boston residents looking to bet on this player, you can do it at our top Massachusetts betting sites.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Minnesota Wild

Thursday, January 26, 2023 – 08:00 PM EST at Xcel Energy Center

Joel Eriksson Ek (Minnesota Wild)

  • Over 2.5 Shots

The Philadelphia Flyers have allowed the 10th most amount of shots this season, they play the Minnesota Wild on the road tonight and we are loving the odds available on Joel Eriksson to see 4+ shots at NHL betting odds of -130.

Eriksson has seen 3.05 shots per game this season and has seen over 2.5 shots in his previous three games, which all turned out to be losses as the Wild are currently riding a 0-3 losing streak.

We are backing Eriksson to bring his shooting gloves in what will be the Wild's first home game in their previous five.

St. Louis Blues vs. Arizona Coyotes

Thursday, January 26, 2023 – 09:00 PM EST at Mullett Arena

Jordan Kyrou (St. Louis Blues)

  • Anytime Goalscorer

St. Louis Blues' top goalscorer with 23 goals, Jordan Kyrou has now scored in his previous three games, looking to make it four in a row tonight for just the second time this season. Coming into this game Kyrou has scored a goal in 10 of his previous 17 games.

A 58% scoring rate over his previous 17 games means we are getting a lot of value at Kyrous current odds of +190 to score anytime tonight. We were expecting to get around in around +130 for this pick, so this is very much a value bet in our eyes.

Kyrou has banged in 15 goals in 21 road games this season and the Coyotes have struggled on home ice in their previous three games against the Blues, conceding 5/5 and 7 goals in those three games.

The Coyotes have allowed 3.6 goals per game (the seventh lowest overall). There's every chance Kyrou finds the back of the net tonight and win or lose, this is a solid value play.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Colorado Avalanche

Thursday, January 26, 2023 - 09:00 PM EST at Ball Arena

Mikko Rantanen (Colorado Avalanche)

  • Over 2.5 Shots

The Colorado Avalanche have been on fire lately, currently, on a 6-0 run they have scored 26 goals and allowed only 8 including one shutout win.

Mikko Rantanen has been the Avalanche's highest goalscorer this season with 32 goals scored in 46 games played and we are very much liking his chances of both scoring and going over his shot total in this home game against the Anaheim Ducks who allow the most goals per game and shots per game in the entire NHL.

Rantanen has averaged 3.67 shots per game this season and has seen 3+ game shots in 63% of his games played. We usually don’t lay this much juice on an Over 2.5 shot line but the problem with Rantanen’s 3.5 shot line is he doesn’t go Over 3.5 a lot compared to 2.5, hitting 4+ game shots just 29% of the time.

Although we expect him to have four plus shots against this Ducks team, we won’t count on it so we are sticking to the 2.5 shot line to go Over for your NHL picks. His previous two games against the Ducks produced 4 and 6 shots.

NHL Prop Pick: Mikko Rantanen Over 2.5 Shots (-200) at BetOnline
