Tuesday’s NHL player props available at the best sportsbooks have presented us with a lot of bounce-back spots for some of the league’s star players. All the players selected are looking for a strong outing today having failed to put up a point or went under their shots’ total in their previous games.

We are red hot right now having gone 8-0 in our previous three NHL articles.

Washington Capitals vs. Florida Panthers

Tuesday, November 15, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at FLA Live Arena

Alex Ovechkin (Washington Capitals)

  • Anytime Goalscorer

Alex Ovechkin is just 12 goals away from hitting 800 career goals but has failed to find the back of the net for the Washington Capitals in his previous three games having scored in 5 of his previous 7.

Of course, Ovechkin leads the Capitals as their top goalscorer this season (as he has done so on many other occasions).

The Florida Panthers have been okay defensively this season but are still allowing three goals per game and despite being on the road we feel Ovechkin will be on the hunt for a goal tonight against a team such as Florida.

Matthew Tkachuk (Florida Panthers)

  • Over 1.5 Points

Although Ovechkin will be looking forward to this matchup, equally will his opposing counterpart Matthew Tkachuk who is also expecting to have a good game tonight against a Washington Capitals team who are very wounded right now and have conceded 3 goals per game also.

Tkachuk has 12 shots more than second-best Sam Bennett and leads the team with 17 points in total. Having failed to register a single point last time out for just the 3rd time this season, we are taking Tkachuk to see over 1.5 points at some nice NHL odds of +150.

Despite seeing just 2+ game points in 5 of 13 games this season, Tkachuk has come across some strong defensive teams up until now. He should be able to get some scores on the Capitals.

Interestingly, Tkachuk has not scored a single point in his previous two games against Washington and only scored 1 assist in his previous four against the Capitals. We like to take on trends.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Tuesday, November 15, 2022 - 07:00 PM EST at PPG Paints Arena

Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins)

  • Over 0.5 Assists

Long-term Pittsburgh Penguins franchise superstar Sidney Crosby (a three-time Stanley Cup champion) is still leading the way with the most points on the team with a total of 16 points despite being 35 years of age.

Crosby has always loved the battle with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the last time these two teams met, just a few days ago, he bagged himself an assist.

Prior to that assist, last time against Toronto, he had previously not seen a single point in his previous three matchups against the Canadian team.

Back on home ice tonight after failing to register an assist last time out despite doing so in the previous three games, we like Crosby to get on the board tonight for our NHL picks.

NHL Prop Pick: Over 0.5 Assists (-124) at BetOnline

John Tavares (Toronto Maple Leafs)

  • Over 2.5 Shots

Despite Maple Leafs' centre John Tavares averaging 3.43 shots per game, his line is still just about hanging on at over 2.5, but we have to lay -140 juice, which is almost the minimum we would take. If it got juiced to -145 or worse, it’s a no-play.

That said, if his line does take much more juice, we should see it move to over 3.5, which we do like but the minimum odds we would suggest would be +115.

Tavares has seen 3+ shots in 10 of 16 games this season which comes in at -140 based on the 62% winning percent, and also means he is about the right price.

Tavares has seen just 3+ shots in 1 of his last 5 games, but prior to this cold streak, he had gone on a 7-0 streak of 3+ shots. Let’s hope for a strong shooting performance from Tavares tonight.
