Wednesday’s NHL is a fine feast of games Pre-Thanksgiving with 15 games on tonight’s card. Although we can’t cover every game here, we did pick some of our favorite selections to come up with a +433 NHL parlay for you guys.
However, we made sure to include a moneyline pick, another one against the spread and finally a bet on a total. Let’s break down the NHL odds for these matchups.
Montreal Canadiens vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at Nationwide Arena
Both Columbus and Montreal come into this game struggling so far this season. The Blue Jackets have a 7-10-1 record this, the worst in their division and second worst in the conference.
Columbus has also allowed the most amount of goals per game sitting at 4.33 but has somewhat made up for their lack of defense by scoring just over 3 goals per game on average.
Montreal lost 5-3 to Buffalo last night, in a game they might have been hoping to win as Buffalo was on an 0-8 losing streak heading into last night’s matchup.
Sitting with a 9-9-1 record the Canadiens are just three positions ahead of Columbus in the conference. Just like Columbus, Montreal is one of the worst defensive teams having allowed 3.68 goals per game, but again also averaging three per game.
Despite Columbus still nursing some notable injuries, we like them in this spot to win on the moneyline at -113.
Columbus has been strong in recent home games winning 4 of their previous 5, on top of this they will have had three days’ rest compared to Montreal’s 21 hours ahead of this matchup.
Montreal has lost 4 of its previous 5 visits to Columbus.
Predicted Score: Blue Jackets 4 – Canadiens 2
NHL Parlay Pick: Blue Jackets ML (-113)
Chicago Blackhawks vs. Dallas Stars
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 – 08:30 PM EST at American Airlines Center
The Dallas Stars are one of the best teams right now, sitting second in the Western Conference, and first in their division, but they do have the Stanley Cup champions Colorado Avalanche hot on their trail as they are behind by just one win, but have played two games less.
The Stars faced Colorado in their previous game, losing 3-2 in overtime. Dallas has been the 5th best defensive team this season for goals against, allowing just 2.68 per game.
Chicago comes into this matchup off the back of a 5-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, meaning they are currently on an 0-4 losing streak.
Puck Line Pick
Although Dallas has lost 7 of their previous 15 home games, they have covered the -1.5 spread in 7 of those 8 victories, and we believe a victory is what they will pick up tonight, meaning we think they could and should cover this spread.
The Chicago Blackhawks have not covered the +1.5 spread in 9 of their previous 15 road games or in any of their previous four games.
Chicago has not been good offensively this season having scored the LOWEST amount of goals per game at 2.44. They have also allowed 3.39 goals per game.
This matchup is a very good defense vs. a bad offense with a bad defense.
Predicted Score: Stars 4 – Blackhawks 1
NHL Parlay Pick: Stars -1.5 (-110)
San Jose Sharks vs. Seattle Kraken
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 – 10:00 PM EST at Climate Pledge Arena
Seattle has had a solid campaign so far having gone 10-5-3 overall on the season, furthermore, they are just one win behind the L.A. Kings in their division and have played four games less.
Seattle comes into this game having won 7 of their previous 10 games.
The Sharks won last time out 5-1 against the Ottawa Senators, making it their first win in three games. This Sharks team has remained very inconsistent yet again this season and relies HEAVILY on Erik Karlsson and Timo Meier.
The Sharks have a 7-11-3 record thus far and given the fact Erik Karlsson could be traded away we can’t see them getting anywhere near .500 win percent.
The Sharks have been an overs team a lot this season as they are averaging over 3 goals for and against, but we believe this to be one of the best under spots on tonight’s card.
Seattle doesn’t have high-scoring games, having seen just 3 of their previous 15 home games go over 6.5 goals and their previous 4 matchup’s against San Jose all cashed the under 5.5 goals market.
Both the Sharks and Seattle rank inside the bottom 15 for goals scored per game, and Seattle are a strong defensive team having allowed just 2.72 goals per game.
We are happy to lay some juice here for the under 6.5 goals to be scored with our third and final NHL pick for today. Seattle is 9-2 this season at home to the under 6.5 goal line.
Predicted Score: Kraken 3 – Sharks 2
NHL Parlay Pick: Under 6.5 Goals (-200)
