NHL Pick: Devils -1.5 Pk Line (+100) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

The NHL comes back to our daily schedule with six games on today’s NHL card of great matchups following the all-star break over the weekend.
There could be some strange results this week as the teams and players look to get back into the swing of things.
Check out what our two favorite NHL picks are for tonight’s card.
Both picks are available at Plus Money with the top-rated sportsbooks.
New York Islanders vs. Philadelphia Flyers
Monday, February 6, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Wells Fargo Center
Preview
Both the NY Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers come into this matchup in a bad run of form as the Islanders have won just 3 of their previous 10 games and the Flyers have done just slightly better having won 5 of their last 10.
Four points separate both teams and both teams are currently outside of the playoff zone in the Metropolitan division as well.
It’s going to be a tough second half to the season if either wants to make the playoffs, despite the Pittsburgh Penguins (currently occupying the final playoff spot) being just 2 and 5 points ahead of point teams respectively, they have played two and three games less than today’s opponents.
The Flyers come into tonight’s matchup with five players on the injury list while the Islanders are missing three.
Noah Dobson is questionable for the Islanders and Wade Allison is questionable for the Flyers.
The Pick
Both these teams have struggled offensively this season having had a combined 5.5 goals per game. Defensively they combine for just 5.8 goals per game with the Islanders allowing only 2.71 goals per game which is the 8th best thus far this season.
The sportsbooks are offering us (+100) for 6 or fewer goals to be scored in this matchup and we would play this down to odds as low as (-110) so if you can’t find (+100), don’t be shy to lay some juice.

NHL Pick: Under 5.5 Goals (+100) at BetOnline

Vancouver Canucks vs. New Jersey Devils
Monday, February 6, 2023 – 07:30 PM EST at Prudential Center
Preview
The Canucks might have a different look about them these days since the change of coach and some additions to the line-up but they have a lot of work to do if they want to get off the bottom echelons of the NHL as they currently have the worst penalty kill in the NHL, allowing a goal 35% of the time as well as the fact they allow the second most amount of goals per game.
The Canucks have the 4th worst road record in the Western division with their last win in regulation coming on Christmas eve last year.
New Jersey should be looking to take an easy win on home ice tonight against a team who are starting to rebuild, while they are in the hunt for a playoff run to the Stanley Cup finals as they are currently occupying 2nd place in the Metropolitan division.
The Devils have both a strong offense and defense, having scored 3.47 goals per game which is the 4th best in the NHL as well as allowing 2.65 which is the 6th best overall.
The Devils can go deep into the playoffs.
The Pick
When these two teams met earlier in the season, the Devils won 5-2 and we believe a similar scoreline should be on the cards tonight.
The best pick here is to take the Devils on the -1.5 PK line at (+100) NHL odds with BetOnline.
The Devils are looking to lay down the hammer on home ice to start the second half of the season having lost 9 games in a row on home ice. They did go on to win their next three although all three of those went to overtime.
The Devils have failed to win by 2+ goals on home ice in their previous eleven games so we are looking to buck that trend tonight.
The Canucks have failed to win in their previous seven games against the Devils and the last time these teams met in New Jersey the Devils won by a 7-2 scoreline.
