The LA Kings continue their Canadian road trip with a visit to Rogers Place tonight to take on an Oilers team who have only won 2 of their previous 6 games.
The Oilers have been mediocre at best at home this season having gone 4-5-0, but that said, the LA Kings haven’t been overly successful on the road this season going 4-4-1.

Los Angeles Kings vs. Edmonton Oilers
Wednesday, November 16, 2022 – 10:00 PM EST at Rogers Place
Los Angeles Kings
The Kings come into this game looking to bounce back from their 6-5 loss against the Calgary Flames on Monday. The Flames managed to put 5 goals past Jonathan Quick within the first 23 minutes of the game.
Los Angeles kept scoring and having a chance to come back into the game but giving up so many goals so early on was the killer.
The Kings' style of play this season has been very similar to the Oilers in recent years, which is to score and allow lots of goals, hoping you can outscore your opposition. That makes this a humdinger of a matchup tonight and we could be expecting some goals.
Despite only winning two of their previous six games, both victories came against top Florida teams. Beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 and Florida Panthers 4-2.
Neither Connor McDavid nor Leon Draisaitl had any real significant roles in the previous game, so we are expecting both will come to play hard tonight at home against a team they know they should be able to score goals on.
The Oilers have the 5th best goals per game (3.70) and the 4th worst goals against (3.63) and have had a lot of high-scoring games recently with 6/5/9/8/11/7/11/8/11/4 goals in each of their previous 10 games.

Kings vs. Oilers: Picks and Predictions
Over 6 Goals
As you can tell by now, we believe this game has the potential for a high-scoring one, and we are conservatively predicting a 4-3 Oilers win, but believe the best bet here is taking the Over 6 line at -140. Yes, we are laying a lot of juice but at the very least you should get a push at this line.
The over 6.5 line is currently beatable at -110, which we also like, and would advise playing that down to as low as -125.
Both these teams score and allow over 3 goals per game and just 3 of the previous 10 meetings saw less than six goals scored in total.
Connor McDavid Anytime Goalscorer
McDavid somehow didn’t manage to score a goal last time out for just the 6th time in 16 games played this year. Back on home ice, we are very much liking him to get chances against this Kings' defense.
We are laying some juice here at -110, and we wouldn’t see any value betting it past -115/-120 max.
He has scored at least one goal in 6 of his previous 8 games, and last season when facing the Kings (including the playoffs), McDavid scored a goal in 6 of 10 games against them.
