The Flyers have had a tough time as of late as they have lost three of their last four games. Following their home defeat to Tampa Bay on Thursday night, they suffered a 5-2 defeat against the Bruins.

Tampa Bay has been impressive lately winning four of six games, but it might be a slight concern that four of those six also went to overtime, are they due a downturn due to fatigue?

Flyers Looking Like Their Old Selves

The last time we covered the Flyers we said they were slightly overachieving and they were due a downturn and it seems they’re going through one of those right now. Not only have they conceded 15 goals in their previous four games, but they have also only managed to score nine.

The Flyers have now fallen out of a playoff spot and if they let these teams ahead of them get a 5/6 point advantage it could be all over for the Flyers this season, so right now this isn’t a must-win game as we have a lot of games left this season, but it would release a lot of pressure given their recent bad form. The Flyers brought Tampa Bay to a penalty shootout last time these teams played just a few days ago.

Tampa Bay Closing in on Maple Leafs

Tampa Bay kicked into gear following a slow start to the season and has caught up with the top two in the Atlantic division. Although the Lightning is four points behind Toronto and six points behind the Panthers, they have played one less game than Florida and three fewer games than the Maple Leafs, one would imagine they will catch them eventually this season.

The Lighting is now without four key players coming into this game, most notably Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov. The Lightning could be starting to get a little fatigued and this might be a good spot to oppose them.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Tampa Bay Lighting Betting Prediction

Although I am not usually one to base the majority of my play on a player being out, this one is a rare case, plus the fact we believe we are getting some nice value. We think the absence of Point for the Lightning will affect this team tonight and even when these teams came together the other night, he was the star player of that game, scoring in the second period and the winning penalty goal.

The Flyers have also held a better winning away record this season than the home record, this is a great spot for them to get back on track and at +130 we are happy to place our bets at the top sportsbooks for them to pick up an “unlikely” win down in Florida.
